Title: Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy

Job Summary
• The Head of Saadiq Finance and Strategy Malaysia is a core member of the Saadiq management team and the lead for all finance performance management for Saadiq Malaysia.
• This would include overseeing the financial performance and management reporting for the Saadiq business – ensuring delivery on core strategic and financial objectives. This will include financial performance and reporting and presentation of management team reports, financial controls including month end closing, stress testing, supporting of budget / forecast process. In addition, the role will also support the Saadiq business strategy, in particular its planning and execution.
• Support and work closely with Saadiq CEO to co-ordinates management of the ad-hoc Project/ Programme.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy &Performance Management
• Support the delivery and analysis of monthly Management reporting and Board papers; including collaboration with Country and Group business finance colleagues to provide quality management information to senior management.
• Support to the formulation of Saadiq strategic and medium-term business plans, providing a robust challenge to the businesses.
• Support the optimisation of resource allocation and focus on returns
• Understand how changes in internal factors (such as changes in credit appetite/FTP, etc.) and external factors (e.g. regulatory changes, macro-economic factors) affect the business performance, shape and proactively manage the impact of changes to improve returns
• Monitor and evaluate the performance, progress and implementation of these key business initiatives,highlight risks, opportunities and actions needed.
• Embed the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters as they arise in connection with the role.

Support the budget and forecast processes for Saadiq
People & Talent
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and valued behaviours. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Lead on the drive for up-tiering and upskilling the Saadiq finance team, in order to develop high performing teams for the future; inspire and engage people:
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Lead the Standard Chartered Saadiq finance team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications
• Master/BA in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business – ACCA/CFA/CPA qualification preferred
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in banking field, with proven track record in project / initiative implementation, business analyst skills and generally getting things done with the flexibility to adapt
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills geographies and lines of business,
• Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome oriented and logical mindset and approach
• Able to work independently and also as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to handle multi-tasks, manage time effectively and perform under pressure and able to work at flexible hours
