Job Summary
As a Settlement Officer, you will support the growth of our Securities Services business by ensuring accurate, timely and efficient settlement processing. You will work closely with your manager and team to deliver high-quality client service, maintain strong risk and control standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve processing turnaround times and productivity standards as defined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Respond to client enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Process trade settlement and related transactions in accordance with operating procedures, guidelines, policies and standards.
- Participate in system testing, business continuity drills and other operational initiatives as required.
- Complete non-routine and ad-hoc tasks within agreed deadlines.
- Adhere to the team’s risk and control framework, including operational loss, escalation procedures and Securities Services policies.
- Support the rollout of quality management systems and other Group/Company initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, policies, procedures, practices and code of conduct.
- Exercise care and diligence in day-to-day operational matters, providing support to both superiors and colleagues.
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- Preferably with a background in the securities industry (e.g. custody, settlements, clearing).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to service quality.
- Meticulous, with strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with others.
- Action-oriented with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
