Job Summary

Supply Chain Sustainability Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of sustainability reporting and supporting the delivery of sustainability targets within our supply chain. This role involves supporting and delivering on new strategies to improve the sustainability performance of our supply chain and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyse, and report on existing sustainability metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Sustainability Manager will work closely with the Supply Chain Management Head of Sustainability and Training Manager to develop and successfully implement SCB Global Supplier Sustainability programme.
  • Key responsibilities of this role are to support the Sustainability programme management and sustainability strategy and objectives and to drive continuous improvement of SCB supplier sustainability processes.
  • Oversee the methodology and reporting requirements to enable the publishing of SCB supplier sustainability metrics. This includes:
    •    Scope 3 emissions calculations (baselining) and reporting including CDP submission
    •    D&I validation, reporting and metrics
    •    Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as internal disclosure and communication team, external consultants and CDP, to confirm metrics, produce, verify and publish reports/relevant documentation 
    •    Work closely and consult with SCM colleagues and key stakeholders to embed sustainability practices into the supplier life cycle including Environment Social and Governance pre-scoring, vendor selection, onboarding, contracting and vendor management.
    •    Programmes manage the delivery of SCM-Net Zero programme in alignment with net zero commitments
    •    Advise on sustainability continuous improvement practices
    •    Support the delivery of SCM sustainability training programs internally for colleagues and externally for suppliers. This will include development and delivery of Net-Zero Scope 3 emissions training and supplier diversity training
    •    Work with vendors to ensure alignment of vendor sustainability practices to SCB sustainability aspirations
    •    Collaborates with internal Sustainability, Risk, D&I and Legal functions to ensure compliance to SCB sustainability requirements.
    •    Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
    •    Work closely with suppliers to enhance their sustainability practices and reporting capabilities.
    •    Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in supply chain sustainability strategy

  • Support on initiatives to enhance the sustainability performance of the supply chain.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs to build sustainability awareness and capabilities within the supply chain management teams and across the Bank
  • Support embedding sustainability across the entire Supply Chain Management function. 
  • Managing the process to confirm and report SCM supply chain scope 3 emissions and design and roll out the scope 3 net-zero reduction programme.
  • Supporting the identification, onboarding and reporting of build diverse suppliers (and diverse spend) within our supply chain.  
  • Supporting the implementation of any new processes and will lead/support process automation initiatives that are aligned to the Banks sustainability strategy with respect to further embedding sustainability into the Banks sourcing practices.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in sustainability/sustainability management (desirable)
  • Experience in managing projects across multiple global markets (desirable)
  • Supply Chain Management/Procurement Qualification, such as CIPS (desirable)
