Job Summary
- The Group’s Fit For Growth (FFG) Programme commenced in Q1 2024, with the aim of simplifying, standardising, and digitising the Bank’s processes, to provide a platform for Business growth and to ‘make it easier to get things done’. T&O FFG Programme is tasked with delivering $1 billion in annualised savings.
- As part of the T&O FFG team you will co-ordinate, prioritise, support, and monitor the initiatives. The team will also help to manage the governance, communications and reporting of the T&O FFG Programme.
- This role has diverse responsibilities including ideation, portfolio data analysis, business case documentation, preparing materials for governance meetings, providing hands-on support for business case preparation, monitoring and analysing the overall portfolio while acting as an advisor as the program progresses.
- The ideal candidate is exceptionally curious and intelligent, thriving in uncertain environments. They are hands-on and analytical, diving into portfolio details to uncover insights.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Deliver strategic solutions aligned with the Bank's objectives and foster innovation and collaboration to drive continuous improvement across the program portfolio.
- Analyse portfolio dynamics to understand key changes and their root causes, supporting informed decision-making and strategic adjustments.
Business
- Understanding key Business and Functional opportunities for simplifying, standardising, and digitising the Bank’s processes and overall capability
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of one or more portfolios to support the identification and tracking of efficiency and optimization initiatives.
Processes
- Understanding the processes and tools for tracking business cases through-out the lifecycle of a Programme to value delivery and realisation.
- Provide clear and consistent execution transparency to senior stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of progress, risks, and milestones throughout the program lifecycle.
- Offer robust support in the development and evaluation of business cases, ensuring they are well-structured, aligned with strategic objectives.
People & Talent
- Leading through example and helping to build an appropriate team culture and values.
- Setting an appropriate tone and expectations and working in collaboration with all stakeholders and partners.
Risk Management
- Understanding the main risks facing the Group and the potential impact that the Programme could have on the ability of the Bank to manage those risks.
- Identifying and communicating FFG Programme risks and issues for monitoring through-out the lifecycle of the Programme.
Governance
- Drive the use of existing infrastructure / build new infrastructure to improve end to end processes around Saves/CtA reporting
- Understanding the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Understanding the Change Delivery Standards and Guidance, ensuring approved initiatives are managed in line with the Bank’s various governance policies and procedures.
- Supporting the FFG Programme’s governance agenda, including assisting with producing materials such as meeting decks and minutes.
- Assisting the Portfolio Lead, delegates, and their teams with broader Programme governance-related queries.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
