As a key team member of the Bank’s Digital Asset Center of Excellence (DA CoE) the Director of Digital Assets Market Development & Client Solutions will support the Head of Digital Assets Portfolio & Governance, the Head of Digital Assets Asia and product teams across CIB, SC Ventures and WRB to ensure effective prioritisation, delivery and commercialisation of Digital Asset-related client solutions in Asia. This person will work closely with other members of the DA CoE team, Client Coverage, senior Asia Country and Cluster heads and their leadership teams across all lines of defence to drive commercial execution of the group’s Digital Asset (DA) strategy in these markets and to help embed DA competence across the region. 

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Support execution and delivery of global and local DA strategic initiatives in Asia and enable thoughtful regulatory and industry engagement on DA. 
•    Work with the Head of DA Portfolio & Governance, Head of DA, Asia, and regional Management Teams to develop and execute the DA strategy for the region.
•    Define the Digital Asset market opportunities and prioritise initiatives with the highest potential commercial return.
•    Support product and risk teams across CIB, WRB and SCV to facilitate market entry for DA products in the region, including facilitating in-market Country Addendum approvals and any required regulatory authorisations/licenses
•    Identify and develop cross-product solutions targeted for each client segment's needs. Produce and manage templated sales collateral for these, including internal staff training material
•    Support Client Coverage in discussions with clients in the region on DA topics, including joining client meetings and presentations if and as required
•    Ensure there are up-to-date Marketing/Risk approved Client facing collateral available to coverage and sales in those markets for all SCB DA offerings (CIB, SCV and WRB)
•    Identify ecosystem participants who may be relevant distribution partners for DA products and solutions in region
•    Support internal and external events with Marketing and Coverage to ensure front line is enabled to engage in Client discussions on DA capabilities, and propositions are well understood by Market/clients
•    Identify and manage amendments to local risk management frameworks and controls where necessary to enable DA products to operate in a well-controlled and compliant manner
•    Contribute to the development of tools and processes for the group such as the Cryptoasset Admission framework and DA Higher Risk Initiative Framework, particularly where these intersect with the initiative/product development process.
•    Drive support and collaboration for DA projects at all levels (senior and junior to you) and bring others on the DA journey. Support the DA CoE leadership team and regional teams in the acquisition of world-class Digital Asset talent.
•    Set an example across the group not only with respect to the Group Valued behaviours but also in terms of DA knowledge and engagement to reinforce a culture of excellence in Digital Assets. 
•    Simplify complicated ideas into actionable, measurable pieces and communicate those ideas to key stakeholders to generate buy-in.
•    Adhere to any required codes of conduct prescribed by relevant authorities.

Job Requirements

Education    
•    University Graduate preferred
Training     
•    Excellent Presentation and PowerPoint skills 
•    Training/Familiarity with modern productivity tools, ADO, Teams, Slack, Trello, Mural, Jira, Confluence
Experience     
•    Demonstrated market knowledge of Digital Assets, Crypto and Web3, ideally through work experience with a regulated institution. Fintech experience also considered favourably. 
•    Demonstrated experience with high growth companies or corporate internal initiatives in the execution of business plans and initiatives. 
•    Demonstrable experience working across large groups of complex stakeholders preferably including risk teams and/or regulators.
Membership     
•    Active Membership (past or present) in FinTech or Digital Assets industry associations considered favourably.
Certifications     
•    Relevant technology, cyber security and/or Crypto/Blockchain certifications
Languages     
•    Excellent spoken and written skills in English required
