Job Summary

•    Associate Director, Product & Partnership, Bancassurance will act as a subject matter expert in insurance products, market practices and regulatory matters, and play key roles in managing and executing product life cycle and fostering closer collaboration with insurance partners and our various business segment for insurance penetration deepening.

Strategy

•    Insurance Penetration – Deepening insurance penetration in Retail, Private Banking, Small and Medium Enterprise and Digital through delivering insurance proposition and comprehensive insurance product suite  

Business

•    Product Suite – Conduct regular insurance market research and comparative analysis to ensure product competitiveness and sustainable product mix 
•    Channel Engagement: Drive insurance product penetration by working closely with segments and insurance specialists team managers and initiate business enablers to raise insurance product awareness 

Key Responsibilities

Processes

•    Product Onboarding & Management - manage onboarding and renewal cycle of Life and General insurance products, insurers and insurance brokers for all business segments, including but not limited to product/provider due diligence,  approval process, product launch support, post-implementation review and internal training   
•    Project-based engagements – support the launch of new business initiatives with insurance partners and business segments, and contribute in regulatory and compliance matters within Bancassurance projects

People & Talent 

•    Partner Management  - Act as the main point of contact to manage communications and expectations throughout the product lifecycle, including product launch/modification and client communication in product-related in-force policies
•    Internal Stakeholders  - Collaborate with internal business units (compliance, legal, operations) and technology teams to ensure seamless product delivery 

Risk Management

•    Compliance -  Ensure all bancassurance products and corresponding sales processes comply with regulatory requirements of Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Insurance Authority, our Group Bancassurance Procedures and other internal compliance standards 
•    Treating customer fairly – oversee product-related training for frontline sales and sales materials to ensure adherence to treating-customer-fairly principle  

Skills and Experience

Governance 

•    Acting as gatekeeper for the compliance of Group Bancassurance Procedures through product/provide due diligence and advisory to Bancassurance team on all other business areas 
•    Assisting in complaint investigation  

Regulatory & Business Conduct 

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

•    Professional/financial qualification is preferred (e.g. CFA / CPA etc)
