Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the mortgage product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of mortgage processes – DIGITIZE mortgage
  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of mortgage products to meet market demands and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products and features.
  • Develop and manage retail mortgage products to maintain product sustainability and profitability.
  • Support the design and development of new products, processes, services, and re-engineering of existing products.
  • Carry out policy reviews and updates, implement regulatory changes, and adhere to internal guidelines in product engineering.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive mortgage business acquisition through organic growth.  Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand the mortgage portfolio through innovative marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and cross-selling initiatives within the mortgage market.
  • Drive acquisition business with pricing approval while ensuring returns align with the bank's strategic intent.
  • Collaborate with sales, Group Product, Country Risk, Operations, Sales, Legal & Compliance, Segment and Marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and product programs to attract new customers.
  • Manage product-related communications, including online and offline marketing collateral and internal communications.  Ensure all campaign fulfillments are completed within the agreed timeframe.
  • Devise and conduct performance analysis, market research, and campaign tracking to regularly analyze product profitability.
  • Drive innovation in the mortgage product space, exploring new opportunities and technologies to enhance the product portfolio
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on mortgage products to internal teams and external partners
  • Oversee and manage multiple key projects related to mortgage product development and acquisition, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. Coordinate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Support to prepare test cases and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), User Validation Testing (UVT), Regression Testing, as required

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred)
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in banking industry or related field
  • Experience in product development and driving business acquisition, preferably with proven track record in mortgage product
  • Understanding of product knowledge, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Candidates with less experience or skills may be considered for junior levels
