Job Summary

 

As Associate Director, Product and Segment Solutions, SME Banking, you will support SME banking product and segment strategies, focusing on lending, balance sheet management, and asset growth. The role drives portfolio growth through data insights and collaboration with Product, Risk, and Distribution teams.
The role demands strong analytical and strategic skills to guide business decisions, independent initiative, and experience in digital transformation and SME banking to modernise workflows, enhance data accuracy, and improve customer and operational results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of SME banking strategies focused on lending growth, balance sheet optimization, and portfolio quality.
  • Provide analytical and strategic insights to guide business decisions and prioritize products.
  • Contribute to asset growth strategies emphasizing diversification through mortgages, collaborating closely with relevant Product teams.
  • Facilitate diversification and expansion of the SME asset portfolio, including unsecured lending and mortgages, while ensuring portfolio risk remains within the approved appetite.
  • Collaborate with Mortgage Product and Credit Risk teams to align product offerings, pricing frameworks, and risk controls.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, utilization, yield, and risk indicators; analyze trends and recommend corrective measures.
  • Lead initiatives independently from conception to execution, engaging stakeholders across functions.
  • Promote simplification and modernization of SME lending and servicing processes to enhance turnaround times, cost efficiency, and data quality.
  • Support digital transformation efforts within SME banking, including workflow digitization and improved data capture and reporting.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive and pertinent experience in SME banking, including lending products and balance sheet management.
  • Proficient in portfolio analytics, financial performance evaluation, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Experienced in supporting digital transformation initiatives with comprehensive knowledge of SME banking processes, credit workflows, and data flows.
  • Strong grasp of regulatory requirements and risk factors associated with SME lending.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication, and influencing abilities across Product, Risk, Mortgage Product, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
