Title: Director, Head of Trade and Working Capital Solutions

Job Summary
As the Director and Head of Trade and Working Capital Solutions in SME Banking, you will lead the creation of a market-leading strategy to accelerate growth in trade finance, supply chain, and working capital opportunities for SME clients. You will also oversee the development of an exceptional client proposition and manage the entire process—from client acquisition and product innovation to credit policy, sales distribution, and governance frameworks—ensuring robust support for sustained business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SME Banking trade and working capital solutions in partnership with product stakeholders, including Transaction Banking and Digital Channel & Data Analytics, targeting HK and Greater Bay Area SME clients.
- Enhance portfolio returns by refining customer targeting, segment strategies, pricing models, and product improvements.
- Drive the creation and implementation of business strategies to meet financial goals, deliver exceptional customer service, and explore growth in new product areas.
- Design, implement, maintain, and recommend procedures and controls that support and strengthen acquisition and deepening initiatives.
- Lead by clear and positive example in order to effectively foster the right culture and uphold strong core values throughout the organization.
- Establish clear expectations for the team while collaborating closely with risk and control partners.
- Ensure full and complete compliance with all relevant internal policies as well as all applicable external regulations and standards.
Skills and Experience
- University graduate with demonstrated experience in corporate or commercial banking
- Over 10 years of expertise in Digital Transformation
- Solid understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and methodologies.
- Skilled at identifying and representing end-user needs within software development environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse business partners.
- Strong consultative and advisory competencies.
- Proven track record of leading projects and driving successful change implementation.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Visio.
- Highly organized with a flexible approach to adapting when necessary.
- Familiarity with the SME business environment and ecosystem.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in project management, workflow development, or business process re-engineering.
