JOB SUMMARY

The Keystone Programme is a multi-year programme implementing ATLAS (Core Banking System), SC Pay (New Payments Platform) & Euronet (New ATM Switch) to replace current varied core banking applications in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand.  The Keystone Programme will transform and modernise the Bank’s core system and operating model to optimise speed-to-market and value.  

The implementation project manager in Operational Readiness is a Hong Kong contract role supporting the programme implementation activities of core banking migration to a global solution ATLAS for Hong Kong, under Operational Readiness workstream.  In particular, this role needs to support the design, planning and the integration of all activities related to data conversion and implementation dress rehearsals / business simulations / actual implementation in country. This includes the anticipation and planning of different scenarios of implementation, working with Technology and Business teams on the design of the implementation plan, including the verification in the implementaiton dress rehearsals exercises.  

The role needs to work with a core Keystone team, Technology Interface teams, country Operations teams and Business teams to ensure qualitive outcomes are delivered in adherence to the overall programme schedule.  The role also helps to support the planning for the post implementation support arrangement and the hypercare support for both Technology and Business parties.

As the implementation project manager in the program Operational Readiness workstream, the candidate should have a proven track record of strong experience in project implementations, facilitating discussions among large number of teams, driving discussions to achieve outcome from confluence of inputs from different teams.  The manager must be able to work with cross-functional technology teams and business stakeholders. The candidate should also have demonstrabled experience in:
•    Project management
•    Implementing new products
•    Good understanding of banking functions / operations
•    At least 10 years of working with Core Banking ecosystem environments

The candidate may need to make travel to GBS locations (e.g. Chennai) to close some discussions with the interface teams in the implementation plan. The candidate needs to be able to work with stakeholders from a different culture to drive the program deliverables. The candidate will also need to come to office during dedicated weekends to operate the Command Centre on the dress rehearsal of the cutover, plus the actual cutover weekend.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities include:
•    Ensure the program adheres to SCB standards, policies, and controls
•    Put together technical implementation plan and the dependency with Tech delivery teams
•    Scrutinize and ensure all interdependencies of implementation activities are covered properly
•    Support the planning and the execution of the various exception drills (as there is a lot of focus on exceptions planning and drills)
•    Plan for post implementation support arrangement leveraging on his expertise on China Atlas
•    Support detail planning of various contingency
•    Provide support to the technical and business streams by engaging and managing teams to plan and support the cutover activities 
•    Support Business to anticipate various operating scenarios during and after the cutover so as to do proper planning
•    Adhering to quality and consistency by implementing standardised processes and reporting
•    Embed process to ensure the consistency and quality of preparatory activities and alignment to the overall Keystone conversion, dress rehearsal and implementation plan
•    Provide updates to line manager and program directors / workstream leads as per agreed cadence on time and of high quality
•    Ensure there is a central repository where artefacts are located or can be accessed
•    Track deliverables and ensure escalation in a timely manner of any impediments / blockers

•    Supporting the Programme Director & Operational Readiness Program Manager by providing subject matter expertise, contributing to the identification of risks and resolution of impediments, issues and blockers
•    Active support to the Programme Leadership meetings
•    Engage and communicate with Group and country relevant stakeholders as appropriate to ensure successful delivery of the programme. 
•    Acting as an ambassador for the Keystone Programme
•    Creating a sense of urgency and focus for implementation, to drive timely execution & resolution of issues / impediments and blockers
•    Ensure vendor and infrastructure related costs are timely and correctly raised to the core team

Qualification
•    Education     The candidate should have 10-15 years solid experience in Core Platforms &/or Data Architecture;  Experience on SCB core banking system and large programmes is an advantage.   
•    Certifications     ISTQB or equivalent
•    Languages     Business English is mandatory. Cantonese, mandarin would be an advantage.
