Role Summary

This role exists to shape and deliver business‑led talent and workforce transformation solutions that enable strategic priorities and drive measurable impact. Acting as a bridge between strategy and execution, the role partners closely with the business to translate enterprise priorities into practical and scalable talent, skills and assessment solutions, that are aligned to long‑term organisational needs.

 

The nature of the work is consultative and diagnostic, requiring strong advisory credibility. The role works with business leaders and HRBPs to explore complex problems, challenge assumptions, and provide expert guidance on the most effective talent and skills interventions, balancing rigour, practicality, and sustainable value. Working in partnership with the business and HR centres of expertise, the role ensures that talent transformation solutions are embedded effectively within people practices and organisational design, supporting the organisation’s transition to a skills‑based operating model. 

Role Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Solution Enablement


•    Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to understand strategic priorities, operating model changes and workforce challenges, and define clear, outcome‑focused problem statements.
•    Take a holistic view of business needs, considering organisational design, capability, skills, culture, and talent implications to ensure solutions are joined‑up and sustainable.
•    Translate business needs into tangible, practical skills, talent and assessment solutions that are business‑focused, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
•    Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing expert challenge to ensure the right solutions are pursued, balancing business ambition with rigour and long‑term value rather than convenience‑led approaches.
•    Enable effective deployment of solutions by clarifying ownership, governance, and integration of initiatives into core people practices and organisational design frameworks.
•    Where relevant, draw on assessment data or diagnostic insights to sharpen problem definition, inform solution design, and evaluate impact, ensuring use is pragmatic and aligned to business need.

 

Talent, skills and workforce strategy


•    Contribute to the definition and delivery of a coherent enterprise approach to talent, skills, and workforce transformation, aligned to business strategy and future capability needs. Includes approach to establishing skills supply and understanding the skills the organisation has. 
•    Apply deep understanding of talent assessment, skills and workforce principles to inform solution design, ensuring any skills and assessment approaches used are robust, credible, and proportionate, balancing validity with practicality.
•    Support the integration of skills and assessment data into broader workforce and talent strategies. 
•    Work with technology teams to understand how platforms, data, and automation can enhance delivery, insight, and scalability across the organisation.

Regulatory & Business Conduct


•    Identify risks in relation to talent process and governance and based on this information provide suggestions of how appropriate controls, measures and mitigations could be put in place to minimise impacts of any risks.
•    Understanding of the Bank’s core job and skill architecture governance processes and standards, and responsible for ensuring technology solutions meet the requirements and expectations of such standards and processes.
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct across the Bank
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters 

Role Requirements

•    Degree Holder in Business Administration, Psychology / Sociology, or other related fields
•    Consultative, business‑facing experience partnering with senior leaders and HRBPs to diagnose complex capability or workforce problems
•    Experience translating strategy into delivery
•    Hands on experience with skills assessment approaches
•    Experience working with skills frameworks and skills based organisation concepts
•    Cross functional delivery experience, working closely with HR, Technology, Data, and Business teams
•    Experience leveraging technology and automation to improve the efficiency, scalability, or insight generated from assessment or skills related processes
•    Exposure to regulated or risk aware environments, with an understanding of governance, controls, and the need for robust, defensible approaches to talent processes.
