JOB SUMMARY

The collection strategy and Governance team is a centre of excellence and is integral to the collection team in implementation of sustainable collections and recovery operations to deliver on operational and loss performance, productively, outstanding rationalization and controls.

Be part of a team that continues to find ways to enhance of collections and recovery capability and the driving of optimization and efficiency. We endeavour to balance between technical capability and business understanding to identify opportunities and find solutions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management and Execution

•    Lead End-to-End Projects: Plan, execute, monitor collections projects.
•    Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment, and drive project success.
•    Deliverables & Timelines: Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
•    Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, concise, and regular project status updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics to the Head of Collections and other stakeholders.

Governance
•    Strengthen Governance Frameworks: Develop, review, enhance, and maintain robust collections policies, procedures, standards, and controls documentation. Ensure alignment with Group standards and local regulations.
•    Compliance Oversight: Monitor regulatory requirements impacting collections. Ensure processes and projects adhere strictly to these requirements.
•    Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, compliance, conduct, and reputational risks within the collections function.
•    Audit & Assurance: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits/examinations. Prepare documentation, coordinate responses, manage remediation plans for findings, and track closure.

Qualifications
•    Education     Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. 
•    Training     Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project/Visio).
•    Experience with collections systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
•    Familiarity with SAS, SQL, or Python for data extraction/analysis is advantageous
•    Languages     English
