Title: Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

JOB SUMMARY
- Support to drive performance management process in order to enable HK/GCNA cluster CFO to effectively manage the financial objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Overall country performance management for Hong Kong supporting the Country Management team with the Financial Planning and Budgeting/Forecasting exercise, monthly performance review and analysis;
- To collate market and competition information on the economy, market trends, peer reviews and any other relevant business related information requirements.
- Partner with Business / Country Finance teams on HK/GCNA cluster strategy, performance issues / opportunities.
Business
- Provide timely and accurate financial information / MI / analysis (including business variance analysis linking current performance with future projections, business momentum, risks and opportunities) to enable strategic decision making.
- Provide coordination and support during forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting cycles for Hong Kong with Finance and Treasury functions.
- Support expense reporting for Hong Kong and provide analysis of their cost base, analysis Group cost allocations, prepare and support in the forecasting and budgeting activities, review and challenge cost allocation drivers and methodologies, support with monthly MI and analytics on the cost moments across various account lines and variances to budgets, forecasts, YoY, MoM, etc.
- Liaise with GFS support and guide them for preparation and consolidation of Management Packs for HK/GCNA EXCO, Board meeting and other presentation materials required.
- Provide market intelligence on key competitors’ performance and highlight any changes in the competitive landscape.
- Supporting the CEO and CFO with any other adhoc analysis and project related support.
- Liaise with GFS support for manual entries on accruals, reclassifications, ad-hoc adjustments, and account substantiation.
- Ensure robust financial processes in place to report P&L and balance sheet in an accurate and timely manner and review monthly financial results.
Processes
- Drive continuous improvements, identifying opportunities to consolidate, automate, and gain process efficiencies
- Manage overall design and outcome of the end-to-end process and owns the process output performance in terms of client service, financial performance and risk where appointed as Process Owners.
- To implement appropriate internal controls and operating risk management/monitoring processes and procedures within the unit for ensuring integrity of Performance and Expense reporting and compliance with related group policies/standards.

Qualification
- Qualified accountant with relevant working experience in banking industry
- Strong connect with business performance metrics and how it is enabled through good process discipline
- Strong analytical skill
- Ability to work in an organised way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data to meet tight deadlines
- Should be a resilient, self starter with well developed communication & inter-personal skills
- Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
