Job Description: 

Job Summary

Responsible to process daily trade transactions in a timely manner. Ensure compliance of all internal procedures and operational controls for risk management. Responsible for the timely delivery and response of customer requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient and error free processing of Bank Guarantees / IATA/ Advising in compliance with laid down procedures in departmental Operating Instruction (DOIs), agreed SLA, Group sanctions policies, vessel check policy and local and international regulations UCP 600, URDG-758,URR-725 and ISBP PUB 745.
  • Ensure all daily Open message tag and respond without any delay. 
  • End of day daily reconciliation.
  • Bank Guarantee Printing after transactions get released in Transaction Processing system.
  • Security Stationary Balancing.
  • All task and assignments assigned by Team Leader’s to be performed.
  • Ensure that the set productivity targets (efficiency, accuracy, etc.) and processing turnaround standards are achieved (within own area of responsibility).
  • Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company/ Group.  
  • Reporting all suspicious transactions including transactions having Red-Flag alerts to Anti Money Laundering (AML) approvers.
  • As Key Custodian, Ownership and proper management with respect to fire resistant cabinet / vault (if any) must be handled in line with policy and procedure and ensure proper handing over / taking over of Keys must be registered throughout the year
  • Create awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model to the relevant teams in Trade.
  • Responsible to keep close and cordial relationship with customer / relationship managers (RM) / Internal Units in order to facilitate solutions to customer’s inquiries / problems and / or tailoring required for any specific customer request.
  • Manage the daily operations of the team with the aim to maximize the productivity of the team and ensure that efficient and high-quality services are provided to our valued customers using a range of products and services and in further enhance to achieve maximum profitability for the bank.
  • Understand Operational Risk Framework
  • Responsible to identify potential risks in existing processes and escalate to your line manager
  • Assist Line manager to develop required controls in the process to zeroes Operational Losses/ Potential Losses
