Job Description
We are looking for an Associate, Board Operations to support the effective governance of the Board and its Committees, with a strong focus on Board Risk Committees. This role is central to ensuring high-quality, well-governed Board processes and seamless meeting operations in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with Committee Secretaries, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and well-controlled Board materials while upholding the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Committee Secretaries in the end-to-end coordination of Board and Board Committee meetings, including agendas, timelines, papers, minutes, and logistics
- Ensure robust Board Operations controls, procedures, and governance processes are followed consistently and accurately
- Coordinate the preparation, distribution, reconciliation, and filing of Board and Committee materials, including use of Board Intelligence
- Act as a key point of contact for Board and Committee meeting queries and information requests from internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators
- Support the timely provision of committee papers to regulators in line with agreed protocols
- Review and support paper authors to ensure compliance with governance and documentation standards
- Maintain Board and Committee calendars, mailboxes, procedures, templates, and assurance checks
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Board members, senior management, PAs, IT, suppliers, and support teams
- Provide cross-cover within the Board Operations team and contribute to a collaborative, one-team culture
- Support subsidiary Board and Committee scheduling and logistics
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including digital and AI-enabled ways of working

- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Proactive, reliable, and adaptable with a solutions-focused approach
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Word and PowerPoint; experience with Board portals is an advantage
- Flexibility to support meetings outside standard business hours when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar Board, governance, company secretarial, or senior administrative role
- Experience working in a regulated or professional services environment is desirable
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
