Key Responsibilities
• Informed with an awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
• Informed on the Algorithmic Risk Management (ARM) business strategy.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to conceptualise, build, and deploy new analytic capabilities in the form of data tables, pivot tables, charting, dashboards, alerts, scheduled reports, or interactive reports
• Work closely with stakeholders (Product teams) to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain a central analytics application supporting Sales, Trading, and Management teams.
• Design and implement front-end application using React and TypeScript.
• Build and manage back-end services with Python, facilitating data processing and integration from KDB+.
• Develop data pipelines and analytics tools using Python to support advanced data analysis and reporting.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Manage deployment processes using containerization (Docker/Podman), ensuring scalability and reliability of application.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Responsible for identifying, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group stemming from the ARM business.
• Responsible for ensuring there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place.
• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
• Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Skills and requirements
• Proven experience building full-stack applications, preferably within financial institutions
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Node.js
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Experience managing Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
