Title: Associate Director, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance

Key Responsibilities
- Support LAF Europe and Americas business strategy
- Delivery of business strategy across all facility-types including leveraged term loans and high yield bonds, as well as idea generation and relevant information sharing, resourcing and best practices.
- Collaboratively engage with internal teams including, coverage, credit risk, legal and compliance teams as appropriate.
- Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of leveraged finance transactions, including LBOs, high yield bond financings, recapitalizations, and other debt financing solutions.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts including detailed financial analysis and modelling, review of diligence reports, business plans, and industry research.
- Organise and support preparation of comprehensive credit memos and presentations for internal approvals.
- Help senior originators with business development in building and maintaining client relationships, e.g. by preparing materials, identify early-stage opportunities, developing financing considerations, and attending meetings.
- Execution of leveraged loan and high yield bond mandates
- Stay informed about market trends and industry developments, help build thematic ideas.
- Work closely with internal teams, including credit risk, syndication, legal, and syndication, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Supervision, guidance, and mentorship of junior team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
Qualifications
- Education: Exemplary academic record (minimum undergraduate degree; CFA or similar an advantage but not a necessity)
- Experience: Proven experience in leveraged finance transactions (including recent experience in high yield execution)
- Knowledge: Strong understanding and experience working in the European leveraged finance market and debt structures
- Key Skills: Credit analysis, capital markets executions, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Approach: Commercial outlook, self-motivated with ability / desire to take responsibility for all aspects of deal execution and willingness to work in a relatively small team with very flat structure. Ability to work accurately, multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines is critical.
