Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Proactively identifying emerging trends and significant movements within the energy and broader commodities markets, specifically natural gas, and escalating critical insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Serving as a trusted advisor by providing nuanced market intelligence and impact analyses, supporting the Bank's stakeholders in navigating an increasingly complex commodities environment.
- Building and maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships with internal teams such as commodities trading, sales, and structuring to facilitate two-way information flow and ensure the effective utilization of research outputs.
- Developing and delivering world-class research and advisory services that enhance client loyalty and deepen engagement, positioning the Bank at the forefront of commodities expertise.
- Communicating complex market dynamics, forecasts, and strategic implications with clarity and precision to varied audiences, ensuring accessibility while maintaining analytical rigor.
- Championing and disseminating the Bank's house views on commodities through multiple channels, including client presentations, internal briefings, and media engagement, thereby bolstering the Bank’s thought leadership in the sector.
- Collaborating closely with regional economists to integrate macroeconomic perspectives into commodities research, contributing to comprehensive, multidimensional publications.
