Job Summary

The Business Planning Manager for Group Head CFCR is a high-impact, high-visibility role that offers a comprehensive view of the CFCR function. The role involves the organized day-to-day management of the office and proactive support for the Group Head, CFCR in their overall responsibilities. The role holder will oversee the BPM teams for Compliance, Financial Crime, and Conduct (CFCR), ensuring the Group Head, CFCR has a holistic view of relevant matters. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, operational discipline, and strong stakeholder management skills, operating confidently with senior executives, Board members, regulators, and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Group Head, CFCR is well-prepared for all internal and external meetings, including those with board members, regulators, and investors.
  • Manage all CFCR Management Team meetings chaired by the Group Head, CFCR, ensuring clear agendas, timely submission of quality papers, and follow-up on actions.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of papers for committees where the Group Head, CFCR is responsible for presenting.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to complete actions from various committees chaired or attended by the Group Head, CFCR.
  • Create and develop presentations for internal and external forums.
  • Assist the Group Head, CFCR and the CFCR Management Team in developing and implementing a consolidated business strategy aligned with the Bank’s strategy.
  • Identify and analyze strategic opportunities across the group, region, or country, and identify gaps and actions required to deliver these strategies.
  • Work with the Chief of Staff, GCRO on key strategic initiatives related to Risk and CFCR.
  • Drive My Voice actions for CFCR and coordinate across the Group Head, CFCR’s full portfolio as required.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of accurate and timely information across CFCR risk types to key risk committees and business managers through a structured and consistent information process.
  • Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters effectively and collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within risk and/or compliance function is preferred, with a broad understanding of various risk types and business issues.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to succinctly summarize complex issues.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and constructively challenge individuals at various levels.
  • Presence and gravitas with the ability to communicate credibly with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Flexible, adaptable, with the ability to operate at pace and multitask.
  • Direct experience in at least one risk control discipline.
  • Proactive with a strong desire to learn.
