Job Summary

Join our dynamic Transaction Banking (TB) Cash Product team in London as a Director specialising in Liquidity products. This senior role offers a unique opportunity to lead the management and strategic development of liquidity offerings including current account deposits, cash pooling, and virtual accounts across key European markets - specifically the UK and Germany. Reporting directly to the Europe lead for Liquidity and Escrow products, you will assume regional authority over product performance, risk outcomes, and balance sheet optimisation to support sustainable growth and compliance.

This position demands a strategic mindset combined with deep technical knowledge of liquidity products and regulatory frameworks to drive innovation and market leadership. You will be instrumental in shaping the product roadmap, engaging with diverse stakeholders from sales teams to technology partners, and ensuring regional alignment with evolving global strategies. This role will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower our clients' cash management and treasury functions while safeguarding the bank's financial performance and risk posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead as a senior Product Manager with responsibility for the commercialisation, lifecycle management, and risk oversight of liquidity products including corporate and financial institution current accounts, cash pooling, and virtual accounts.
  • Manage and optimise the TB cash balance sheet across the UK and Germany by closely monitoring deposit levels, interest income, quality of operational deposits in line with LCR/NSFR metrics, and profitability margins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including TB Sales, Relationship Managers, Risk, and Compliance to drive quality deposit growth and liquidity product adoption.
  • Own the regional adoption and commercial success of Virtual Account solutions, partnering with Global Product and Technology teams to tailor offerings for Paytech, financial institutions, and corporates.
  • Develop and execute local product strategies aligned with broader cash and liquidity initiatives, incorporating innovation in digitalisation, client self-service tools, and emerging clearing models.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews and competitive analysis to ensure deposit products remain attractive and profitable in a competitive market.
  • Prepare and disseminate comprehensive monthly management information system (MIS) reports and carry out annual product assessments against TB Product Programs, Risk, and Conduct frameworks to confirm products are fit for purpose, growth, and sale.
  • Provide expert liquidity solutioning and client support during Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and key deal negotiations, maintaining strong client relationships through meetings and forums.
  • Represent regional client requirements in global initiatives to ensure product enhancements remain relevant and effective at a regional level.
  • Continuously capture and analyse competitor intelligence, regulatory updates and industry trends to reinforce our competitive edge and inform product development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional background in liquidity product management within banking, financial services, or related sectors. Proven success in managing complex liquidity portfolios and delivering strategic growth.
  • Deep understanding of deposit pricing structures, Basel III regulatory framework, and associated liquidity metrics such as Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).
  • Hands-on experience with cash management solutions, transactional foreign exchange, lending products, and virtual account commercialisation.
  • Prior experience working with multinational banks, fintech organisations, or consultancy firms serving banking clients will be highly regarded.
  • Industry certifications like ACT (Associate of Corporate Treasury) or equivalent credentials enhance candidacy.
  • Proficiency in English is essential. Additional language skills such as German, French, Arabic, Chinese, or other Asian languages are valued and will support regional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, client-centric approach, effective communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic environment.
