You will work alongside a diverse set of researchers, including the bank’s dedicated geopolitical specialist, to produce thought-leading publications that shape market conversations.

We are seeking a Geopolitical Research Analyst & Economist to produce high-quality research papers, insights, and thought leadership for external clients and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong geopolitical or economic expertise who can translate complex global developments into clear, actionable intelligence for financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on geopolitical, economic, and financial market developments, incorporating global and emerging-market perspectives.
  • Write, edit, and publish independent research papers, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely market relevance.
  • Produce both scheduled publications and ad hoc, event-driven reports in response to fast-moving global developments.
  • Present insights to external clients, media outlets, and internal sales teams, clearly articulating themes and implications.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the global research hubs to generate cross-discipline insights.

Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree required, ideally in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and macro/microeconomic concepts.
  • Ability to produce qualitative, data-informed research suitable for senior market audiences.
  • Experience in a research, think-tank, government, or quantitative research environment with a proven track record of high-quality analysis.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to simplify complexity and create engaging, thought-leading content.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European or Emerging Market languages are a strong advantage.
