Job Description: 

Job Summary: Standard Chartered is seeking a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Specialist to join its global D&I function. This role supports the Group’s objectives to be the best place to work, the best place to bank, and contribute towards creating prosperous communities. The Specialist will consult, design, embed, and evaluate solutions and programmes to deliver the Global D&I strategy, which is owned by the Group D&I Council. The role involves close collaboration with HR, Centres of Excellence, executives, colleagues, and external partners, and reports directly to the Head of Diversity & Inclusion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive best-in-industry D&I solutions and practices at Standard Chartered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership onto key projects, internal working groups, D&I Councils, and forums.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders through business insights and credibility.
  • Analyze complex data, identify interventions, and create solutions to strategic issues.
  • Communicate effectively, translating technical D&I insights for different audiences.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key D&I projects.
  • Design and deliver tailored solutions, products, toolkits, assessments, etc.

  • Thought Leadership & D&I Expertise: Provide thought leadership with a strong focus on Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), leveraging expertise to drive initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
  • Data & Digital Fluency: Exhibit proficiency in data analysis and digital tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making and digital literacy.
  • Global Engagement & Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work with a global team, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Leading D&I Agenda: Lead and sustain the D&I agenda, maintaining a strong ambition and commitment despite changing environments.

Qualifications:
•    University degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred e.g. D&I, Talent, Employee Relations, Org Behaviour, Psychology, Business Administration, etc.
•    Experience in D&I/HR/Talent Management, preferably combining both Business Partner and SME roles (e.g. talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, employment law & policy)  
•    Experience in Project Management and solution deployments 
•    Understanding of geographical and cultural differences and how it impacts the subject matter topics of the area
•    Understanding of D&I in specific markets desirable, especially Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia
•    Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
•    Strong collaboration and consulting skills
•    Proven experience delivering innovation in a complex organisation
•    Exemplary integrity, independence and resilience
•    Strong knowledge of business applications (MS Office Suite)
