Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive, solutions-focused HR Advisor to deliver high-quality, practical advice to leaders and employees across Europe and the Americas. This is a hands-on, stakeholder-facing role where you will manage a varied advisory caseload, help leaders navigate complex people situations, and embed a fair and consistent colleague experience.
You will coach People Leaders through across a variety of leadership moments, including performance management, team effectiveness and development; and support with early intervention in employee relations matters, and contribute to key talent and engagement cycles. You will spot themes in cases and data and work across the HR function to strengthen how we operate. You will also partner on critical projects towards the delivery of the Bank’s People Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory & Partnering with People Leaders
- Provide timely, practical advice to People Leaders on aspects such as performance, development and employee relations, helping them take confident action aligned to policy and the Bank’s valued behaviors.
- Support People Leaders in managing complex or sensitive situations, with a focus on early intervention and informal resolution where appropriate. This includes guidance on formal ER processes (low complexity / risk), including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances, ensuring policy compliance and sound decision‑making (in partnership with ER specialists, as appropriate).
- Diagnose root causes of people challenges and recommend practical, business-aligned options.
Talent & Performance Management
- Enable continuous performance management through coaching and guidance to People Leader on development conversations.
- Support the delivery of a differentiated experience for high-potential talent, including career discussions and development planning.
- Partner on key HR cycles such as talent identification, annual engagement survey action planning and year-end performance and pay processes.
HR Project Delivery
- Drive the implementation and execution of scalable HR projects aligned to the People Plan (including for local regulatory purposes) – such as org design reviews / operating model implementations.
- Partner with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver integrated and consistent HR solutions.
- Adapt and embed communication strategies and insights from CoEs to meet business and cluster needs.
Continuous Improvement & Insights
- Identify recurring people/ leadership challenges and escalate trends to the HR Advisory Lead to inform policy, process, or communication improvements or deployment of targeted interventions.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes/ programmes, recommending enhancements where needed.
- Ensure adherence to service standards, SLAs, and global performance metrics.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across HR teams, including CoEs and Employee Relations specialists.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to support delivery of people priorities and targeted initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field
- Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD) desirable
- Membership of a relevant professional body is an advantage
- Fluency in English
