Title: Lead Data Products - Skills - 12 M FTC (UK or Singapore)
London, GB
Job Summary
This role could be based in UK and Singapore. S&T HR Data Services is responsible for bank-wide people data enablement. This includes creating scalable, high-quality data products, methods, and data models that support advanced analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Data Products Lead to define and execute our strategic approach to skills data across the enterprise. This role will lead the design, delivery, and stakeholder engagement for the Skills Data Product roadmap — bringing together fragmented data sources (e.g., Gloat, SAP, Excel, aXess) into a cohesive, governed, and reusable data asset. The successful candidate will work closely with HR stakeholders, CIO teams, architects, and business partners to align on schemas, data flows, and delivery plans. They will also lead a short-term tactical squad to produce the first iteration of the Skills Data Product and establish a foundation for long-term capabilities aligned with our Data Product and AI Factory vision.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and deliver the strategic roadmap for enterprise-wide Skills Data Products, in alignment with HR, Tech, and Data strategies.
• Champion data product thinking, driving a shift towards a product-centric mindset across the HR data ecosystem.
• Translate strategic talent and workforce goals into scalable data initiatives, focusing on skills visibility, internal mobility, and future capability planning.
• Stay informed on external best practice (e.g. AI, ML, LLMs, data mesh) and introduce innovation into the skills data platform aligned with the AI Factory and GDP migration.
• Build and oversee a short-term cross-functional team to deliver the MVP of the Skills Data Product.
• Support the transition from descriptive to predictive/prescriptive workforce insights using harmonised skills data.
• Act as the strategic partner to senior HR and business leaders to understand skills-related priorities and translate them into actionable data use cases.
• Build strong working relationships across platforms and teams (e.g. Gloat, SAP, aXess, Architecture, CIO), ensuring collaboration and shared understanding of data needs and flows.
• Lead workshops and working groups to co-create schemas, taxonomies, and skills definitions to support standardised reporting and reuse across the business.
• Serve as a visible owner and advocate of the Skills Data Product roadmap, presenting progress, blockers and plans to executive sponsors and transformation boards.
• Define and embed data governance, documentation and standards for skills datasets and flows.
• Establish core processes for metadata, lineage, and data quality across integrated systems (Gloat, Excel, SAP, etc.).
• Setup operating rhythms, including cadence for delivery, stakeholder reporting, and issue resolution processes.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure scalable and secure integration patterns across HR and enterprise data platforms.
• Identify and act on opportunities to streamline existing fragmented processes for skills tracking, taxonomy use, and reporting.
