The successful candidate will bring excellent writing skills, creative flair and strong project management capability, combined with sound judgement, strategic thinking and the confidence to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting corporate philanthropy and enterprise-level communications across a broad, integrated remit that includes strategy, media relations, digital channels, web content and corporate brand initiatives. They will work in close partnership with Standard Chartered’s markets to support the delivery of initiatives in priority markets.

The position is well suited to a communications professional with more than three years of hands-on experience, a strong global perspective and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Bank’s corporate philanthropy strategy, ensuring communications activity is aligned with broader corporate, sustainability and reputational priorities.
  • Develop compelling content for internal and external channels, including leadership messaging, impact stories, presentations, campaign materials and other communications assets.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic initiatives, including launches, partnerships, flagship programmes and events.
  • Support the development of high-quality communications and media materials, including briefing notes, key messages, Q&As, news summaries and related content.
  • Help shape enterprise-level storytelling that strengthens the profile of the Foundation and clearly communicates its social impact, purpose and strategic value.
  • Partner with senior executives and internal stakeholders to elevate the corporate philanthropy agenda through clear, engaging and credible communications.
  • Coordinate communications activity across global markets to drive engagement, alignment and consistency with Foundation priorities.
  • Act as a key point of contact between market teams and the Group Foundation team, supporting effective collaboration and the timely flow of information.
  • Provide guidance on branding and communications activity to ensure consistency of messaging, tone and visual identity across markets.
  • Support markets in developing local communications plans, identifying storytelling opportunities and activating campaigns that reflect local priorities and global objectives.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Foundation’s annual report, including content drafting, stakeholder coordination, project management and production timelines.
  • Manage reporting-related communications materials that effectively showcase programme impact, strategic priorities and key achievements.

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Coordinate input from internal teams, markets and external partners to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality across reporting outputs.
  • Support the development of impact narratives, case studies and performance updates for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Support philanthropy communications activity and engagement, working with colleagues across geographical markets as required.
  • Work closely with web and digital teams to enhance content across sc.com, including support for formal sustainability disclosures and annual reporting cycles.
  • Collaborate across departments and teams to ensure the Bank’s corporate philanthropy messaging is consistent across communications channels.
  • Prepare reports and briefings for senior management and other stakeholders on corporate philanthropy communications activity, emerging issues and relevant trends.
  • Contribute to a high-performing CABM team by supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping deliver against team priorities.
