Job Summary

Join the EMEA CEO Office and play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, governance, transformation, and risk management across one of the Bank’s most dynamic regions (Europe, Middle East & Africa). Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver business priorities, enhance organizational effectiveness, and support executive decision-making.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Support the CEO’s office for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) to  deliver all regional priorities across strategy, workflow efficiencies, cluster synergies, risk management & governance, and monitoring & transparency.
•    Support risk management and process improvements across EMEA
•    Support project delivery across EMEA
•    EMEA regulatory, structural and org knowledge
•    Provide critical business insights through data analysis.
•    Liaise with technology and operations teams to support process improvement, cost transparency, and digital enablement.
•    Support in providing oversight of regulatory compliance, risk controls, and audit readiness across EMEA.
•    Support preparation of papers / slides / speaking notes for submission for various meetings.
•    Coordinate budget reconciliation, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment with group and business priorities.
•    Organise regular meetings for CEO’s top team, townhalls or other meetings to ensure close communication and alignment across the clusters.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

•    Experience in at least two of operations, first-line risk, compliance or legal in FI’s in EMEA
•    Good understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking, and Wealth & Retail Banking  
•    Good understanding of the SCB Network/Geographies
•    Understanding of Risk, Compliance, Governance and related matters
•    Prior experience in Project / Change Management preferred
•    Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
