Job Summary

The Associate for FI Sales and Service is responsible for the strategy and operations of Transaction Banking Sales, specific to Financial Institutions (FI) covering the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) segment. In this role, you will handle cash management and trade products, as well as service management for both banks and non-banks transactions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

Strategy

 

  • Define strategy for Transaction Banking Sales and operationalize the same, in alignment to the Group’s business strategy for CIB client segment and Transaction Banking products.

 

 

Business

 

  • Ensure revenue and driver targets set for the portfolio are delivered
  • Focus on maximizing revenue by resolving any Product related impediments
  • Originate cross sell of products across the client base and grow the revenues of the region
  • Take the lead in identifying explicit and implied client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions and leading proposals and pitches to clients.
  • Create value propositions and provide complex structure guidance to client and coverage relationship teams in driving portfolio revenue
  • Work closely with the respective Relationship teams and internal business partners to provide the specialist partnership in delivering the revenue and driver targets 
  • Map out client ecosystem and identify opportunities to bank the ecosystem
  • Run portfolio level planning for the product, brainstorming, identification of opportunities and take the lead in deal closure and execution
  • Understand the local markets in terms of size, share, structure, potential, customer segmentation, buyer behaviour and competitor analysis
  • Work on Market Intelligence to provide inputs to Product teams, generate new ideas and highlight product gaps
  • Play an active role in credit and compliance approvals on deviations

  • Identify and recommend appropriate changes to streamline transaction journeys of CIB clients, being aware and understanding of the bank’s processes relevant for the job role

  • Share best practices and client trends with the team

 


Risk Management

 

  • Ensure Risk Monitoring as an integral part of the Business Process
  • Proactively identify risks associated with the Transaction Banking business and contribute to introduce appropriate mitigants, being aware and understanding of the bank’s risk appetite, controls in place.

 


Governance

 

  • Ensure adherence to all Internal & External Regulations
  • Ensure that the business meets its obligation under group policy and standards and under the local laws and regulation
  • Manage all sales related activities through effective use of Work Bench (our CRM suite)

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

 

  • Has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Business or othe relevant courses
  • Has at least 8 years of work experience in Cash Management (Global Clearing, Liquidity, Channels) / Trade Services and Finance / Sales Management
  • Has excellent Client/Service Management skills
  • Knowledgeable in Financial Technology, bank and non-banking financial institutions
  • Has effective communication skills
