Title: Head,Trade Core, Product and Processing Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
To manage Trade-PH activities accurately and efficiently in line with the group policies and procedures.
Business
Assist the Head/Manager Trade Operations in supervising overall operations of Trade Operations Department, ensuring that operations are well within established Group policies and abide by all regulations imposed by government regulatory bodies; and comply with international trade practices.
• Ensure that services provided meets or exceeds the pre-set service standards
• To provide back-up and assistance to Global Lending Services Operations on BAU activities.Processes
• Supervise, direct, motivate and support staff to increase productivity and ensure that the Department's annual objectives as well as their own individual job objectives are met.
• Ensure continuity of operations in the absence of any Trade Operations Officer/Team Manager
• Ensure that all Trade transactions are well within the limits as established by the Client Relationships and comply not only with the terms set therein but similarly with the UCP/URC, Group Operational Policies, GICs, MORFXT, and other International or Local Trade regulations
• Ensure adherence to pre-set service standards and the Departmental Operating Instructions
• Ensure that outstanding unreconciled items in the branch's nostro accounts (within the sphere of job holder's responsibility) are prompt investigated
• Ensure that all control accounts (i.e., Sundry accounts, Suspense, Charge Due, Commission receivables) are updated and all uncollected outstanding items are all accounted for and acted upon.
• Exercise effective control over all outstanding export bills to ensure that all maturing bills are collected and/or paid on due dates.
• Ensure that Trade transactions are processed and comply with the agreed SLA/ procedures and that all controls are implemented
• Ensure and check prompt processing of final tax payments and remittances to Bureau of Customs
• Ensure that Import Document checking/Acceptance under import L/C are processed promptly and checked carefully.
• Authorizes/Approves Trade transactions up to delegated authority.
• Ensure an organized and accurate record keeping and archival of transactions.
• To proactively monitor and manage operational risks, system risks and channel risk of the products and to highlight any potential and actual breakdown of controls to Group Service Delivery and Country Operational Risk Group (CORG) via Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Risk exception reporting.
• To ensure approved generic Product programmes and their corresponding Country Product Templates are in place before any product is accepted for implementation by Service Delivery. To refer any instances of non-compliance to Head CIC Operations, CIO and SCO for follow-up and also highlight such instances to CORG via KPIs and risk exception reporting.
• Carry out activities/functions which may be assigned from time to time by Head, Trade Operations and/or Senior Management
• Participate in cross-training between Global Lending and Trade Services activities.
• Perform back-up & provide adequate support across Trade Services and Global Lending Services to properly manage resource issues within the team.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
People & Talent
• To provide coaching and mentoring to Lending and Trade staff.
• To help in the succession planning for the team
Risk Management
Perform tasks in adherence to the Risk Management Framework of the Bank

Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
