Title: Lead, Operational Risk

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead for Operational Risk will perform risk impact analysis on the new/enhanced process, ensuring that the changes introduced or impacts to other process(s) if any are aligned with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
In this role, you will ensure that the organisation operates within its risk tolerance and minimises potential negative impact to its operation and reputation. You will be consulted on the impact of operational risk on Cloud platform performance, proposes solutions to mitigate these risks You will lead in designing risk management metrics to manage, measure and monitor operational risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies and controls to minimise or eliminate identified risks.
Business
- Have the knowledge and confidence to apply critical thinking to make the necessary decisions to progress and at the same time, understand the limits of his/her responsibility and expertise and know when to solicit decisions from other members of the team.
- Liaise with the key stakeholders mentioned below to enable the team and support the Cloud strategy.
Processes
- Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and support on all matters related to Cloud Platform
- Provide concise and relevant status updates to stakeholders, project working groups, project steering committees and proactively escalate issues as necessary
- Apply risk criteria to assist in the development of the risk profile for approva
- Assist in the development of risk response action plans to address risk factors identified in the organizational residual risk profile
- Implement tools to facilitate management dashboards and system managed workflows such as Risk management dashboard
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks that may impact the organisation’s objectives, including operational, technology and data risks. Assessing the likelihood and impact of these risks
- Ensure that the Cloud platform is in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards regarding risk management.
- Develop and test contingency plans for potential crisis. Ensure the Cloud platform team can respond swiftly to mitigate the impact of significant risks.
- Normalise disparate approvals processes to speed up delivery without increasing the risk.
Governance
- Continuously monitor the cloud platform risk profile and ensure that risk management activities are being carried out effectively.
- Report on risk exposure and the effectiveness of mitigation efforts to T&O MT and stakeholders
- Read, understand, and interpret relevant regulations and act as the SME for application and development teams onboarding to the cloud.
- Build, manage and maintain relationships with global and regional teams across the bank across the relevant first, second and third line of defence.

- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
People & Talent
- Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their roles effectively

- T&A Cloud Platform and Architecture teams
- 1st line control owners and assurance teams
- Operational Resilience, Technology CIOs
- 2nd line Operational , Technology and Cyber Risk and Compliance teams
- Group Audit
QUALIFICATIONS
- Has a Bachelor's Degree in Audit/ Engineering / Business or other relevant cours
- Has at least 10 years of work experience in Risk Management in a Control and Audit function, preferably handing Cloud – AWS & Microsoft
- Has a strong background in Risk and Compliance, Audit and Cyber Security
- Has a good awareness of the overall cloud technology
- Has a detailed understanding of the technology regulatory landscape as pertains to FSIs, with a specific focus on Outsourcing and Cloud
