Job Description: 

Job Summary

This role is responsible in supporting the Head of Finance in managing day to day accounting & finance operations including but not limited to 
•    Working Capital requirements
•    Month end closure requirements
•    Fixed Assets recognition and reporting
•    Account Receivable & Payable Operation 
•    Planning and budgeting for GBS PH entity
•    Local Tax reporting & filling
•    Local Regulatory reporting & filling 
•    Financial Risk Management

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

This role is responsible in supporting the Head of Finance in managing day to day accounting & Finance operations including but not limited to

  • Working Capital requirements
  • Month end closure requirements
  • Fixed Assets recognition and reporting
  • Account Receivable & Payable Operation
  • Planning and budgeting for GBS PH entity
  • Local tax reporting & filling
  • Local Regulatory reporting & filling
  • Financial Risk Management

 

Business

  • Perform the accounting & finance operations performance objectives
  • Manage an effective working collaboration with internal Global Finance Services and continuously look for opportunities for operational efficiency migration
  • Proactive and effective stakeholders’ engagement to support best commercial practices in the Company

 

Processes

  • Account Receivable Balances
    • Managing the Account Receivable balances to ensure long outstanding debts are being addressed accordingly
    • Ensuring key customers paying on timely basis

  • Account Payable
    • Oversea the governance of e-Procurement & T&E process
    • Managing performance of Global Financial Services – Requisition to Pay team.
    • Coordinate month end closing including accruals to ensure timely completion of financial review and reporting.
    • Ensure strong controls around AP process and raise concern / risk to be addressed.
  • Fixed assets management
    • Managing fixed assets movements, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Treasury activities
    • Cash flow forecasting, planning and organising cash flow meeting
    • Involve in month end closing for treasury related posting
    • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
    • Proposing and planning of dividend payment
    • FX management
    • Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliation for Treasury related accounts

  • Financial Reporting
    • Responsible for all group related reporting requirements monthly / quarterly and yearly inclusive but not limited to ICS (Intercompany System) / Pipeline and IFRS Packs
    • Responsible for local regulatory reporting
    • Key person in liaising with external auditors to ensure publication of financial statements on time in full.
    • Ensure all reporting standards, IFRS and Local Requirements are adhered to.
    • Drive month end closing tasks and deliverables ensuring financial integrity
    • Manage accounts receivables collections to drive settlement of long outstanding invoices
    • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities
  • Business Partnering with Support Functions
    • Business partnering with MOH (“Management Overheads”) and Property Functions
    • Preparing and involve in Budget, FC1, and FC2 exercise
    • Assisting in month end closing for the above Functions and managing the numbers as per budget
  • Taxation
    • Planning and managing Company’s tax related matters in accordance with local regulations.
    • This includes introducing and implementing business process in the Company to ensure tax risk is properly mitigated.

Risk
•    Responsible for ensuring adherence to all Group’s policies and procedures, effective financial controls are in place, and overall Operational Risk (OR) exposure is maintained at an acceptable level or within defined risk appetite of the function.

 

People & Talent 

  • Manage an effective working collaboration with internal Global Finance Services and continuously look for opportunities for operational efficiency migration
  • Proactive and effective stakeholders’ engagement to drive strong financial control, and support best commercial practices in the Company

 

Risk Management

  • Assist the Head of Finance, and the Unit Operation Risk Manager in identifying and managing key risk areas; ensure compliance and improve internal controls and financial processes for the Company. This includes building management and operational control awareness within Country Finance team and ensure applicable policies and procedures are documented and embedded in operating manuals and instructions

  • Proven experience in organising, planning, and executing activities from conceptualisation through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organisational lines, including proven ability to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Good eye for detail and with a strong focus on controls and compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with thought leadership, natural intellectual curiosity, ability to think both strategically and analytically, and with a digital mindset.
  • Ability to problem solve and manage complex situations, identifying solutions that support the business.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, effective questioning and active listening.
  • High integrity and professionalism, with the intent to do the right thing at all times.
