JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for ensuring the system stability of applications rolled out to the Philippines, ensuring visibility to key stakeholders, and driving required response action to improve the overall client experience in the country.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Strategy

  • Prioritize solutions to create maximum positive impact to key strategic priorities with understanding of Group, Function and Country business and digital strategy
  • Recommend and implement solutions aligned with Group strategy to enable successful business outcomes
  • Support strategy execution and make recommendations as the internal technology/digital expert

 

Business

  • Align and support Group Technology service improvement initiatives for country/region, escalating, and contributing ideas as appropriate
  • Gain insight in local processes and be able to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to enhance client experience via changes, and introduce new technologies and innovative solutions

Processes

  • Manage the country CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) Function
  • Establish and run Stability Forum for Country
  • Establish and generate Stability metrics related reports
  • Proactively monitor client journey dashboards and manage critical automated alerts 24x7, manage overall situation and ensure progress towards resolution.
  • Effectively communicate incident status with Country stakeholders, to have a consistent and transparent and accurate view of system stability
  • Responsible for assessing and recommending incident priority using priority matrix for final decision by application owner  
  • Perform assessment for the regulatory notifications and continue to follow up on the communication with the regulators till the closure of the incident
  • Conduct post incident debriefs for qualifying incidents to record lessons learned regarding detection & recovery and feedback to relevant technology teams
  • Manage RCA activities and ensure the root causes for incidents are established along with firm actions to ensure no reoccurrence
  • Track the key preventive and corrective actions for regulatory reported incidents
  • Conduct periodic review of the alert criteria based on the integration of new client journeys and ensure spontaneous action by the team on the alerts.

  • Cultivate a culture of openness and transparency to promote quick action and improve service availability.
  • Set appropriate tone and expectations for the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Actively engage colleagues and provide constant feedback to encourage and promote a Feedback Culture within the bank.

 

Risk Management

  • Own risk records for technology incidents resulting in breaches and regulatory reporting.
  • Track obsolescence for critical applications and ensure all the obsolete components are funded with remediation plans.
  • Manage risk exposure across multiple projects through the identification and management of key project risks
  • Ensure focus and effective support of internal and external audit activities
  • Ensure timely escalation and focus for any identified risks that could adversely impact the Bank

 

Governance

  • Support the T&O (Technology & Operations) function to strictly adhere to Group policies, procedures and standards in country
  • Enable effective governance by establishing key performance indicators and providing the metrics accurately and in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders
  • Proactively engage stakeholders ensuring the relevant Committees, Forums and Meetings have the latest updates with regards to Incidents and System Stability.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience in similar role, preferably banking industry
  • ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma Certification
