Title: Senior Finance Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the entity’s accounting, financial reporting, treasury, finance risk, governance and administration that comply with the various regulatory and statutory requirements in areas of Company Law, Taxation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, IFRS/PFRS, Group Reporting and accounting principles.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be the key person to support the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the Finance function for SCGS Philippines and developing the appropriate financial governance and control framework including liaison with external regulatory bodies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- End to end responsibility for overseeing the entity’s accounting, financial reporting, treasury, finance risk, governance and administration that comply with the various regulatory and statutory requirements in areas of Company Law, Taxation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, IFRS/PFRS, Group Reporting and accounting principles.
Business
Internal:
- Managing the diverse Business Units and regulatory requirement of each individual SCB countries.
- Finance point of contact in respect of invoicing pricing and tax documentation for regulators.
- Assisting and supporting Chief Financial Officer in providing the financial insights, tax, controls of the entity. Overall responsible to ensure the entity’s achieving a cost optimal based on its service level commitments to the Group.
External:
- Meeting the relevant regulatory, audit and taxation requirements.
Processes
- Collaborate with P2P Business Partners to support business partnering with Business Units and ensure overall entity’s financials are in line with regulatory requirements (Transfer Pricing margins and overall cost base)
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure validations of financials
- Ensure timeliness and completeness of month-end closing to deliver internal and external financial reporting requirements
- Manage statutory audit, corporate tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing matters and obligations
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant authorities as required
- Ensure an effective and efficient treasury management function to ensure that there are sufficient cashflow to meet business objectives
- Ensure key controls and risk management compliance within the finance team.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in financial processes and challenge legacy practices
- Keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursement in the books of the Corporation;
- Have custody of, and be responsible for, all the funds, securities and bonds of the Corporation;
- Render an annual statements showing the financial condition of the Corporation and such other financial reports as the Board of Directors, the Chairman, or the President may, from time to time require;
- Prepare such financial reports, statements, certifications and other documents which may, from time to time, be required by government agencies
Risk Management
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer and the Unit Operation Risk Manager in identifying and managing key risk areas; ensure compliance and improve internal controls and financial processes for the Company. This includes building management and operational control awareness within Country Finance team and ensure applicable policies and procedures are documented and embedded in operating manuals and instructions

QUALIFICATIONS
- Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Business/ Economics or other relevant courses
- Has a Professional Accounting qualification of CMA/CPA/ACCA/MBA (preferred)
- Has at least 10 years of working experience in Finance Operations, preferably gained in financial services industr
- Has experience in using accounting systems and comfortable with excel spreadsheet
- Has performed variance analysis in previous roles and dealt with auditors and regulatory authorities
- Has strong accounting and tax knowledge (both local and international).
- Has strong leadership skills, management and organization skills abd conflict manageme
- Has a strong business and commercial acumen, with thought leadership, natural intellectual curiosity, ability to think both strategically and analytically, and with a digital mindset
- Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written and has effective questioning and active listening skills
- Has advanced knowledge in financial system eg: MS Office, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft
