Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

Supports the Country Chief Risk Officer (CCRO) in risk governance activities and oversight of the country risk management framework in line with Philippine regulatory requirements. Acts as the central coordination point for CCRO owned principal and non principal risks, ensuring effective governance, committee oversight, reporting, and escalation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of country risk governance aligned with the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Business
Partner with Front Office and senior management to support informed risk reward decision making within approved risk appetite.

Processes
Embed the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Risk Type Frameworks; coordinate preparation of the Country Risk Appetite, governance reports, dashboards, and risk mapping.

People & Talent
Promote a strong risk and governance culture through collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement

Risk Management
Act as Second Line Risk Control Owner for Credit, Reputational, Country, and Model Risks; design, monitor, and affirm effectiveness of controls against Board approved risk tolerances; escalate material risk issues.

Governance
Manage Country Risk Committee meetings, including agenda, papers, secretariat role, and Committee Effectiveness Reviews; ensure compliance with Committee Governance Standards.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and the Group Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding high standards of ethics, conduct, and regulatory compliance.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
