Title: Support Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
The Support Analyst will be part of the Custody Operations team and provide support functions relating to settlement of trades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Ensure alignment and compliance to department operating instructions (DOI)
- Work with the team to contribute in the improvement of customer service standards.
Business
- Timely escalation of client complaints within service level agreement (SLA
- Ensures that all service levels and productivity standards of the Bank are met.
Processes
- Ensures compliance to internal, external & regulatory requirements as regard to the submission of mandatory reportorial requirements
- Ensures submission of securities movement and cash reconciliations within required frequencies on or before the due dates
- Ensures that scripless security reconciliation reports are performed within the required frequencies
- Reviews daily/monthly declaration of reconciliation and ageing reports for sundries and suspense accounts and ensures submission on or before the required timelines
- Ensures timely and accurate physical securities reconciliation and count.
- Acts as an independent party who performs regular vault count as defined in the DOI.
- Performs daily review of NIL charges report to ensure proactive detention of billing generation on global custody accounts.
- Reports exceptions as a result of regular reconciliations to immediate supervisor for disposition and immediate resolution.
- Strictly comply with the escalation policy.
- Performs other roles specified under the DOI on Reconciliation
- Performs backup/relief functions as defined in Operations Support Backup/Relief Plan.
- Ensures all activities defined in the Critical Task Checklist approved by the Line Manager are completed and any exception is escalated on a timely manner.
- Participates in projects assigned and initiatives designed to improve the quality of systems and operations.
- Extends direct support in achieving satisfactory or higher audit rating from external, internal auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure processing of tasks identified in the cross-training and relief arrangement for Custody Ops.
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Promptly report OR issues and losses to Custody Ops Head and BRM.
- Ensure prompt implementation and resolution of identified issues.
- Ensure compliance to records management policy and observe systematic filing of records.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the department’s business continuity plan (BCP)
Governance
- Ensure practices within the unit comply with all internal policies, regulatory requirements compliance procedure and processes and local statutes.
- Ensure that appropriate local procedures and internal controls that interpret the Group Policy and Standards and the local law and regulations of Money Laundering Prevention are documented, implemented, maintained and monitored.
- Ensure compliance with Bank’s policy including but not limited to Group and Local Code of Conduct, Health and Safety, Diversity and Inclusion and escalate to management any policy breaches for appropriate decision/handling.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Business Management or other relevant courses
- Has at least 2 years of work experience in Bank Operations such as settlements, corporate actions or custody operations and support.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with reporting and documentation
- Has excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office application
- Has good communication skills
