Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

Perform any tasks/activities as required under the Department Operating Instructions (DOI) / Group Department Operating Instructions (GDOI) / Process Notes / Applicable Group Procedure / Policies / Standards / Service Level Agreements, other Operational documents and/or as required by LM from time to time

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
Awareness and understanding of the Group’s GPS, GPI, business strategy and model related to Branch Frontline, Branch Operations, Business Banking and Financial Reconciliation

Business
Awareness and understanding of the Distribution Network, Business Banking business and Operations, economic and market environment in Hong Kong. 

Processes
•    To perform account reconciliation on 1) Internal/ GL account (suspense and sundry) reconciliations,2) TPGL reconciliations assigned to Accounting Operations Team. 
•    To provide assistance and advise on reconciliation processes and controls and propose solutions for addressing gaps, from a reconciliation perspective.
•    To follow up on risks and issues with relevant teams and stakeholders for timely closure without becoming overdue and promptly update actions to risk teams ahead of target timelines.
•    To ensure effective follow-ups and escalations, in resolving outstanding reconciliation items, process and system issues, as per agreed SLA / reconciliation matrix, DOIs.  Ability to differentiate escalations to various senior levels depending on the nature and impact of an issue/open reconciliation break with clear articulation of the requirement and attention from them is a must.
•    To prepare group and local MI on reconciliation.
•    To actively look for opportunities to standardize / automate process and implement process improvements.

•    To handle ad hoc request (such as project) and perform investigation and follow-up.

Risk Management
•    Responsible to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks relating to the operations of Distribution Network, Business Banking, and Reconciliation process in Client Servicing and Transaction and put in place appropriate controls and measures. 
•    Provide guidance and advice for addressing and managing the risk issues arising from Reconciliation process. 
•    Timely identification, escalation and resolution of risk issues arising or relating to Reconciliation. 
•    Support the implementation of relevant governance / framework initiatives and the roll out of any relevant GPS/ GPI / target operating model to Reconciliation under Client Servicing and Transacting. 
•    Ensure risks, issues and control enhancement identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner

Governance
•    Ensure to complete with the Financial Account Ownership, Reconciliation & Investigation Standards and all related policy (GPS / FCSR)

Qualifications
•    Education     University Graduate
•    Languages     Chinese, English and Mandarin

•    Logic, reasoning and analytical skills
•    Ability to work within a multi-function, multi-discipline team environment with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
