Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Control Room Manager based in Warsaw will be supporting the execution of the team’s responsibilities. The primary areas of responsibility will be managing and performing the core functions owned by the Control Room including:
    • Personal Account Dealing,
    • Outside Business Interest or other conduct related request,
    • Transactional Conflict Clearance Requests.
  • The aim of those activities is to review all types of requests and to ensure compliance with SCB policies and procedures aimed at mitigating conflicts of interest’s risk and misuse of information risk. 
    Except for those main conflict checks, additional administrative and control activities are performed, in particular:
    • MAR insider list update (MAR= Market Abuse Regulation),
    • Restricted List and Watch List activity,
    • Wall Crossing approval activity,
    • Updating of research disclosures,
    • Employee Trading Surveillance activities,
    • Handling of PAD/OBI breaches.
  • Responsibility for helping manage the Control Rooms Operational Risk Framework and undertake CST reviews relating to all relevant processes.
  • Produce intelligent Management Information (MI) and analyse the MI for potential trends, risks and potential hotspots
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or finance.
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in financial markets.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in compliance, regulations, risk management, and wish to pursue a career with Compliance in the financial services industry.
  • Working knowledge of MiFID and MAR regulations.
  • Knowledge of banking activities e.g., project finance, acquisition finance, trade finance, capital markets deals – bonds issuance.
  • Proven relevant experience in the Control Room function or brokerage is considered an asset.
  • Additional certifications or training related to financial markets are considered an asset.
  • Good judgement enabling the provision of sound advice in the proactive management of CFCC risks.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent presentation skills, data analysis and analytical skills.  
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.  
  • Personal authority, integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure and handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Pro-active and possess continuous improvement mindsets to improve compliance service.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks or special assignment and to deliver as per timeline & expectation.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model: minimum 2 days a week in the office is a must.
  • Availability to work in US shifts (2:00pm-10:00pm CET), including at least one shift per week, and on Polish public holiday, is a must.
