Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

•  Conduct thorough evaluation and investigations to establish root causes of fraud incidents and enhance controls as needed.

•  Review accounts downgraded to CG 12 or lower to ensure account management aligns with Group standards, policies, procedures, and all relevant local regulations.

•  Assist in conducting peer reviews within the country and across regions to assess the effectiveness of processes and controls.

•  Support the R&C Team Lead in developing robust processes and controls for implementing Group policies and local regulatory requirements within the country.

•  Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and collaborate with stakeholders in CCIB CC, Operations, and support functions to complete Management Action Plans, including executing necessary process improvements and communicating key themes to stakeholders.

•  Prepare Lessons Learned reports based on various investigations conducted.

•  Evaluate and identify operational risk implications related to business strategies and programs.

•  Execute CST/KCI activities for relevant processes in the country or countries.

•  Support business operations in South Asia countries by minimizing operational risks and losses, and investigating significant operational losses to prevent recurrence.

•  Ensure compliance with policies applicable to CCIB CC that affect operational risk, and challenge processes, procedures, and policies to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

•  Identify knowledge gaps and facilitate the development of Operational Risk training for business staff and country Risk & Control Teams.

•  Drive continuous improvements through the application of A3 methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Over 5+ years of experience in banking, analytical roles, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in clearing operations ranging from settlements, reconciliation, reporting, and project management is essential.
  • Experience in reconciliation and risk management is preferred 
  • Familiarity with products such as rates, forex, deliverable, and non-deliverable instruments.
  • Proficiency in VBA, Macro 
  • Experience in conducting monthly RCSA assessments is necessary.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Murex, Razor, Ratan, Oscar GUI, and S2B
