Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

•    We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Process and Platform Management (PPM) team, an integral part of the Group Advisory and Managed Investments team (Wealth Solutions) within Standard Chartered Bank.
•    The role primarily focuses on supporting the Bank’s VCC (variable capital company) funds business, specifically for fund valuation and portfolio reconciliation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business

•    Standard Chartered Funds VCC is the first SC branded fund vehicle domiciled in Singapore that will be used to host underlying sub-funds that will be distributed exclusively for SC clients (AI/PI equivalent). 
•    To support and grow the VCC business as a key pillar for the Managed Investments business. 
•    Key responsibility and oversight for the fund valuation, portfolio reconciliation, fund operational matters of the VCC Funds. 
•    Responsible for the fund operational workflow between sub-investment manager and fund custodian, transfer agent / fund administrator.
•    Monitor and manage all service provider relationships relating to Standard Chartered Funds VCC, including internal governance requirements. 
•    To support and assist the PPM team in other areas of the VCC Funds business e.g. sales tracking, CISNet filings, managing invoices and audit/tax filings, board update meetings, forum meetings. 
•    From time to time, the individual may be required to assist other team members in other areas of work, which may not be directly related to the VCC business e.g. other parts of the Managed Investments business.

•    Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore / Advisory & Managed Investments / Process & Platform Management;
•    Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Education: Degree 
•    10+ years of experience in Asset management in Middle office.

•    Strong expertise in middle office work relating to asset management, across diversified range of funds (liquid, semi, illiquid).
•    Able to drive the operational process for VCC funds, including but not limited to audit, tax, expenses reconciliation.
•    Good knowledge of Funds Distribution and Advisory business, across Mutual funds and Alternatives

•    Experience in relevant VCC fund setup experience is preferred
