Job Description: 

Job Summary

The prospect candidate would be primary responsible for managing custody services offering (including Gold custody & FOFs) comprising of client service management, transaction processing, systems maintenance, and monitoring, reporting and operational risk reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead, manage, and process Standard Chartered Bank custody transactions—including safekeeping, transfers, reconciliations, and billing—on a daily basis, escalating any exceptions that require immediate resolution.
  • Define, document, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient operational frameworks.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and automation across conventional assets.
  • Manage and develop a growing offshore outsourced team, empowering members to assume greater responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure seamless and scalable operations.
  • Lead the implementation of new clients, products, and services.
  • Support various projects and resolve queries from clients and stakeholders, consulting Compliance as necessary.
  • Lead and engage in client onboarding to facilitate operational take-on and establish new relationships.
  • Maintain an active interest in developments within the Financial Services industry. S
  • erve as an integral part of the front-to-back process flow by reviewing processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Bring extensive experience as an operations professional in banking or financial services, specializing in Securities Services and conventional asset services—including client onboarding, securities trade clearing and settlement, corporate actions, billing, payments, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, exception handling, business continuity management, project management, business enablement, and business analysis.

Skills and Experiences

 

  • Min 7 to 10 years of relevant settlement experience 
  • Good communication skills , verbal and written
  • Exposure to Regional / Domestic Settlements operations, SWIFT Tags.
  • Hands on experience in Clearstream / Euroclear / BNY is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of various settlement markets and swift message formatting
  • Knowledge of allied products like Corporate Actions, Fund services and reference data will be an added advantage

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Finance/Information Technology or a similar subject or comparable professional training.
