Job Summary

The individual should develop and manage stakeholder relationships across Wealth & Retail Banking products, distribution, compliance, risk and operations and ensure comprehensive understanding of business and risk strategy, plans and performance and processes related to Wealth Solution with linkage to Retail banking.  
Closely follow latest policy and procedures in Wealth Solution and also related products & processes on retail banking or business banking like client due diligence, anti-money laundering, roll out of Group policies and procedures.   
 

Key Responsibilties

  •   Ensures that the work is performed in accordance with Management standards, Process Guides, the agreed customer service standards, operational risk requirements and regulatory controls.
  • Ensure all processes are documented, up-to-date and being effectively implemented by the operations team in Dubai and Chennai.
  • Highlight inherent risk within processes to Management so as to ensure bank risk is kept to the minimum.
  • Improve current processes using Operational Excellence methodology and tools across all products/functions and drive continuous improvement discipline through standard work.
  • Work with the WM (Wealth Management)Products team to set targets for Service Level Agreements, Turnaround time, productivity and accuracy measures and ensure robust performance tracking and communication of benefits and results.
  • Follows rigorously Service Level Agreements established with key internal departments to effectively and efficiently maintain relationships with them.
  • Provides timely data/information in preparation of reports/returns required by Group, regulators and Tax authorities
  • All Bancassurance, wealth lending, securities and Mutual Funds applications are timely processed.
  • Ensure compliance of AML, CDD policies & procedures in accordance with Group and Local Regulatory guidelines.
  • Support new product launches, special projects together with representatives of the WM Products team.
  • Ensure that all processes/practices in the Unit comply with the Bank’s risk and compliance procedures to minimize security and risk exposure.
  • Formulate improvements in operating procedures in order to effectively manage risks and create a robust control environment. 
  • Ensure adherence to all CST (Control Sample Testing), HCL (Health Check List) and ORF (Operational Risk framework).
  • Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and in implementation and management of OR within the Unit.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.  
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
