Job Summary
As a Branch Sales and Service Executive at Standard Chartered in Manama, Bahrain, you will play a pivotal role in driving inbound and outbound sales activities, primarily targeting new-to-bank (NTB) clients across various segments. Your core focus will be engaging employees of corporate clients where the bank has established partnerships, utilizing on-site marketing events, roadshows, and employee lists provided by those corporate partners.
You will start by promoting essential payroll account services and anchor products relevant to your role, with an opportunity to progressively expand your portfolio to the full suite of retail banking products. Your efforts will build trusted relationships, enhancing customer loyalty and maximizing product penetration.
This position requires you to navigate complex processes including remote Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, accurate and error-free documentation, and adherence to operational standards ensuring compliance with all regulatory and bank-specific policies.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Sales Delivery:
- Proactively connect with identified corporate employees to introduce and explain banking propositions thoroughly.
- Apply needs-based selling techniques with a strong customer segmentation focus to meet diverse client requirements.
- Conduct in-person meetings and roadshows to strengthen client relationships and increase service adoption rates.
- Set up anchor products and initiate cross-selling conversations to broaden client engagement with the bank's offerings.
- Educate clients on utilizing digital banking platforms, ATM services, and client centers for seamless transaction experiences.
- Deepen customer relationships by maximizing product penetration and service satisfaction.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Maintain strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements relevant to retail banking services.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Money Laundering Prevention (MLP), and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) with thorough diligence.
- Ensure real-time awareness and compliance with all anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, and KYC policies, reporting any suspicious activities immediately.
- Commit to zero tolerance on any form of fraud or misrepresentation and participate actively in all required training programs to stay updated on compliance standards.
Skills and Experience
- In-depth Product Knowledge across retail banking products, including payroll accounts and anchor services.
- Excellent Communication Skills with ability to clearly articulate bank propositions and tailor messaging to diverse client segments.
- Strong understanding of Process and Quality Control to ensure error-free customer applications and compliance with operational standards.
- Well-informed on Market Knowledge specific to corporate banking clients and employee engagement strategies within the Bahraini banking sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client interactions efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and client satisfaction.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms related to banking operations and customer relationship management is preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
- Training: Completion of Financial Advisory Programme (FAP) with certifications in FAP 1, Module 1, and Modules 2 or 3-5 years' relevant experience in the financial sector.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic is required for effective communication with diverse clients and stakeholders.
