Job Description: 

We are seeking a dedicated Middle Office Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the holder of this role, you are the product and process subject matter experts aligned to the Global Financial Markets business, a continuous improvement mindset and industry connectivity. You are also responsible to deliver trade support, business enablement and accurate/timely trade representation to meet obligations to clients, counterparties and regulators.

Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible under supervision, for process Financial Market Product as a general in accordance with applicable procedures, Regulatory, policy, service standards and operational instructions (DOI)

 

Strategy

  • Contribute to the definition of best-practice global operating standards and operating environment within the Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Ensures compliance with all Group and Country policies, Code of Conduct, statutory regulations, and laws.
  • Strong advocate of service consistency within the country.  Actively takes steps to eliminate / minimise use of non-standard solutions.
  • Ensure the client experience is seamless based on efficient processing, timely resolution of client exceptions and is perceived as an enabler by the business to generate and retain client flows.

 

Business

  • Provide support to the Head of Markets Business & Client Solutions, CTOO, Financial Markets Indonesia Sales & Trading Desks in the provisioning of Financial Market Operations capabilities on the ground.
  • Understanding of the business strategy and appropriate role given. Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Works closely with country and business to ensure operational platforms support client service level agreements and internal benchmarks as well as identifying opportunities for automation.

 

Processes

  • Trade Capture, Supporting Front Office on the initial capture of transaction core economics attributes in risk capture systems (e.g.; New Trade Booking, Cancel & Amend, Allocations).
  • Trade Lifecycle Management, Supporting Front Office on the trade lifecycle by executing trade events that require access to initial trade ticket & all activities post-trade.
  • New Product Support, represent Front Office in operationalizing new products.

Risk Management
•    Support the development of a compliance culture, undertake compliance monitoring through the Operational Risk Framework, pro-actively advise and escalate to management on compliance issues.
•    Ensure all activities are done in line with the laid down Departmental Operating Instructions (DOI) / Roles & Responsibilities and other procedures that are rolled out from time to time. Report any deviation (if any) to appropriate authorities and obtain proper dispensations.
•    Ensure all internal policies and procedures related to FM Operations are implemented with the group policies, local legal and regularity guidelines.
•    Effective management of all Operations risks including reporting high or very high rated risks based on Group materiality thresholds to the relevant Operational Risk Committees

Qualifications

•    Strong Managerial and Interpersonal skills and leadership qualities with an ability to supervise teams. 
•    Knowledge of Financial products.
•    Good knowledge of the business practice and standards
•    Good knowledge of the systems used will be an advantage.
•    Fully aware of associated Operational Risks.
•    Knowledge of Local Regulatory related to Financial Market product.
•    Meticulous with a good eye for detail; able to work quickly and accurately.
•    A team player with good interpersonal skills
•    Good writing and presenting skills in English.
•    Proficient in MS Office
