Job Summary
• The Global Markets Operations brings together the Global Markets Middle Office Team, Markets Client Solutions and the In-Country Markets Operations footprint to foster consistency in client and business face-off across products and geographies.
• This is a strategic hire and will include a mandate to embed strong & robust operating models, risk & control principles, enact behavioural change and develop a control focussed culture across the organisation, front to back. Globally, Middle Office is split out across 13 Locations and covers Macro, Credit and Equity products. They are the main point of contact across Front Office and various Operations groups. As the role is responsible for RBI and CCIL reporting its plays a critical role in ensuring the Bank’s compliance with statutory and supervisory requirements.

Business
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of RBI regulations, circulars and reporting requirements.
• Maintains awareness of evolving regulatory frameworks and proactively adopts reporting process to align with new directives.
Processes
• Responsible for end-to-end execution of the regulatory reporting process to RBI and CCIL, including data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and onward submission of said returns.
• Ensure reports are prepared in accordance with prescribed formats, reviewed for accuracy and submitted within mandated timelines.
• Maintains audit trails and documentation to support compliance reviews and inspections.
• Executes regulatory reporting process by implementing robust controls for data integrity, monitoring submission schedules and aligning reporting practices with evolving RBI/CCIL directives.
• Identify and work with project teams towards complete automation.
Risk Management
• Identify potential risks in data collection, compilation and reporting workflows; escalate issues promptly to management. Collaborate with FO, compliance, and risk teams to assess the impact of regulatory changes and mitigate reporting risks.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to reporting systems and controls to strengthen risk resilience and reduce compliance gaps.
Governance
• Embed strong & effective governance principles across the GMO function in India.
• Develop metrics to monitor business processes, and to supply indicators of risk and performance.
• Produce effective supervision guidelines and embed into BAU across all Markets business lines supported by GMO.
• Provide effective challenge on forum, above and beyond those owned by GMO. Live and breathe the #NeverSettle value.

Qualifications
• University degree
• 10+ years of relevant working experience in regulatory reporting function.
