Job Description: 

Job Summary

SCB India is hiring a Relationship Manager to nurture and expand an existing portfolio of SME clients (turnover < ₹800 crore) within the Medium Enterprises segment in the Business Banking division. Leverage our global network to deliver specialized solutions like working capital facilities, term loans, and cross-border financing, driving client retention, portfolio profitability, and sustainable growth

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of 25-30 SME clients across key sectors (e.g., manufacturing, trading, exports), conducting bi-annual business reviews and on-site assessment while adding 4-5 new relationships every year

• Deepen relationships by structuring and executing products such as working capital (cash credit, trade loans, supply chain finance), term loans for expansion, and cross-border solutions (export finance, LCs, forex, remittances via SCB’s global corridors).

• Proactively monitor portfolio risks using early warning systems, ensuring no slippage to NPA through timely renewals, restructurings, and leveraging SCB’s trade finance expertise.

• Achieve KPIs including 20% YoY portfolio AUM growth, cross-sell ratios >30%, and fee income from trade services.

• Drive digital adoption (e.g., Straight2Bank, API integrations) and ensure 100% compliance with KYC/AML, ESG norms, and internal SCB policies

Qualifications and Experience

• MBA/PGDM in Finance or Bachelor’s + CA/ICWA; certifications in trade finance (e.g., CDCS) will be an added advantage

• 7-10 years in SME/GB banking, with at least 5 years managing existing portfolios in private/international banks.

• Demonstrated success in handling ₹100 to 800 crore SME clients with cross-border exposure.

 

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in trade finance, forex hedging, and supply chain solutions

• Advanced financial and credit analysis skills and risk management.

• Outstanding stakeholder management for SME entrepreneurs and internal global teams.

• Strong English/Hindi communication.

• Knowledge of Indian export-import dynamics, UDYAM registration, and SCB’s sustainability framework.
