Job Summary

The Product manager will manage the Managed Investment business from a product perspective including P&L management, new product development, channel management and systems. Managed Investments product solutions includes mutual funds, PMS and Alternate Funds.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Build MI business to achieve leadership position in the marketplace. 
•    Development of a sustainable business model that will be profitable in the long-term.
•    Build the sales strategy for MI. 
•    Profitable Management of key fund partner alliances. 
•    Launching and managing new & innovative products.

Business
•    Distribution Management:  Setting and monitoring of business performance standards and developing alternate channels for distribution.
•    Revenue Optimization:  Maximize business performance opportunity and manage the fee structure and revenue generation ensuring minimum revenue leakage.
•    Product Proposition: Bringing innovative product solutions to the market place and strengthening the client value and service proposition for MI

Processes
•    Adherence to Sales and suitability process in line with bank’s policy. Ensure the implementation of appropriate systems and operational processes to measure and manage KPIs and profitability

People & Talent
•    Collaborate with frontline (specialists, RMs) and support functions to deliver effective client solutions and seamless investment journey

Governance
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations forms part of the culture.
•    Engage with all audit report findings and ensure feedback is acted upon

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Skills and Experience

•    Good understanding of the dynamics of the financial services market with particular emphasis on mutual funds, alternate products and PMS
•    Well-developed project management skills
