Job Summary

The chief investment strategist will be responsible for driving investment strategy from formation of asset class views to publishing market outlook and commentaries and engaging in client conversations directly and through events and webinars. The CIS will be responsible for increasing visibility and help wealth solutions attain thought leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Formulation of Asset class views and publishing regular market commentaries and outlook on asset classes
•    Enhancing Investment Strategy as a key value proposition.
•    Increasing visibility and help wealth management attain thought leadership position.

Business
•    The Chief Investment Strategist is responsible for formulating the local investment strategy view, include running the monthly India Investment Committee (IIC) meeting, the formation of our tactical and strategic investment allocation decisions and publishing our flagship monthly outlook on asset classes. The publication contains key macro and asset class views along with the performance of our key investment strategies and themes. 
•    Update our frontline on our investment strategy views through regular calls to ensure a cohesive house view across segments. 
•    Drive media visibility of wealth solutions through thought leadership articles and OPED's. 
•    Engage with clients via events and meetings to enhance investment strategy as a value proposition and ensure appropriate mix of asset allocation and products. 
•    Key stakeholder in Managed Investment Team’s product council and SCSI committees.
•    Maximize business performance opportunity.

Processes
•    Adherence to Sales and suitability process in line with bank’s policy

People & Talent
•    Collaborate with frontline (specialists, RMs) and support functions to deliver our house views and advise product team on effective client solutions.

Governance
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations forms part of the culture.
•    Engage with all audit report findings and ensure feedback is acted upon

Qualifications

•    Education-Post-Graduate 
•    Training-as required by role remit and responsibility 
•    Licenses-as required by role remit and responsibility 

Skills and Experience

•    Domain expertise in macroeconomics, financial markets, and key asset classes such as debt, equities, commodities & foreign exchange.
•    Proficient in tactical and strategic asset allocation framework
•    Extremely articulate in verbal and written communication
•    Strategic orientation and aptitude
