Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Own and govern front to back operations across all SCSI products from client onboarding, trade execution support, settlement, collateral management, reporting, and post trade servicing.
•    The role ensures scalable, compliant, and resilient operational processes aligned with SEBI, Stock Exchange, Depository, and internal Group governance requirements, while supporting business growth, assurance, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•     Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role
Business
•    Responsible for overall functioning and supervision of the Operations Department (Account Opening, Retail & Portfolio Management Trade Processing, Equity Derivative, Currency Derivative, BSE Star MF Operations, MTF, SGB/IPO/NCD/BOND/FD/Debt Operations, NRI Settlement, PMS (Wealth Management), 
•    Interacting with Auditors, Exchanges, Depositories, Custodians, 
•    Ensuring audit readiness at all times, fronting and completion of all audit actionable pertaining to  operations. Ensure satisfactory and acceptable audit rating – Regulatory and Group Internal  Audits 
•    Identifying the system requirements of new wealth management products developments, testing and systems enhancements on a timely basis. 
•    Streamlining, understanding, integrate into entire operations function of Broking and wealth management accounts.
•    Manpower Planning and staff development.
•    Coordinate with vendors to implement the client level delivery handling procedures
•    Review the Standard Operating Procedures for operational activities 
•    Monitor and review the operational process for Trading, IPO, Corporate Fixed Deposits and BSE Star MF operations.
•    Trade Settlements, Reporting, Accounting across HNI, NRI, Corporate segments
•    MF Operations through Exchange Platforms
•    Back-office and trading system customizations, testing & migrations.
•    Good knowledge & handling Financial & Group, Exchange Audits and Regulatory compliance
•    Partner Revenue Sharing for Corporate Fixed Deposits / Debt instruments 
•    Automation of back-office processes through utilities / RPAs.
•    Regulatory Approvals and support

Processes & Digitisation
•    Driving digitisation and innovation leading to cost efficiency and customer delight 
•    To supervise end to end account set up, transactions execution and settlement operations for SCSI Products Operations.
•    Vendor on-boarding and management
•    Knowledge about excel utilities and other external connected networks
•    Various process developments and improving the same continuously.  
People and Talent 
•    Managing team and internal / external stake holders
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.  Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that all operations staff are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
•    Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
•    Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.

Risk Management
•    Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
•    The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
Governance 
•    Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Skills and Experience

Core Skills
•    Deep understanding of Indian capital markets operations & regulations
•    Operations risk & control design

•    Process transformation and automation mindset

•    Detailed understanding of the dynamics of GIFT City products and structuring solutions.
•    Capability to build relationships with the market ecosystem
•    Experience in product management
•    Strategic orientation and aptitude
•    Project/ Platform implementation experience of Gift City
•    Good domain knowledge of functioning of Capital Markets.

Qualifications

•    MBA Degree holder, preferably 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets / Brokerage / Settlement Operations and wealth Operations, with significant leadership exposure.
•    Strong exposure to Retail Broking, MTF, PMS, and regulatory operations in the Indian market.
•    Prior experience handling SEBI / Exchange inspections and audits.
•    NISM – VII (Securities Operations & Risk Management is mandatory. NISM – VI (Depository Operations) will add the value.
•    Languages; English and Hindi
•    Wealth policies and sales governance experience for GIFT City
