Job Summary

Operation role involves the onboarding, transaction processing and service by ensuring qualitative and providing efficient turn around time .


Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy

  • Review and validate customer data as it is collected 
  • Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse 
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data 
  • Create or discover new data procurement and processing programs 
  • Cooperate with our IT department to deploy software and hardware upgrades that make it possible for us to leverage big data use cases 
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results 
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business, the contribution of each department, and the   metrics that drive performance

Business

  • Work jointly with department heads and analysts to define KPIs and reports for company-wide performance measurement
  • Implement reports and dashboards using Enterprise reporting software
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and seek data-based insights for business operations improvement
  • Maintain a corporate repository of metric definitions, ensuring clarity and consistency
  • Monitor data quality and resolve any issues in collaboration with data owners
  • Implement new data analysis methodologies 
  • Review customer files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization 
  • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies  

Processes

  • Participates in the initial agreement of service standards with stakeholders and evaluate impact to operations
  • Participates in customer/stakeholders meetings, help structure deals and review/attain/benchmark service standards & maintain cross border relationships
  • Maintains service level agreement metrics on turnaround and accuracy
  • Effective stakeholder engagement to understand and fulfill the needs of internal and external clients
  • Uses metrics to drive decisions around service delivery improvements
  • Maintains and improve service levels & customer expectations

People & Talent 

  • Coordinate and get faster resolution internal stakeholders, and external stake holders. 
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.  
  • Set appropriate tone and work in collaboration with External Partners and Internal stakeholders.

Risk Management

  • Ensures a no surprises culture – no failed audits 
  • Manages the maintenance of operational integrity throughout the unit 
  • Understands market practices, awareness of local regulations, group and business policies, business standard procedures and best practices 
  • Establishes a performance culture around Risk Management using root cause analysis and corrective action planning as key elements of operational risk management 
  • Proactively identifies, assesses and mitigates risk issues 
  • Timely substantiation of all accounts and reporting to finance 
  • Timely escalation of all incidents to appropriate authorities as per reporting framework

Governance 

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. 
  • Ensure all process notes and policies are adhered. 

Regulatory & Business Conduct 

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Standard Chartered Capital Ltd to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.  
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Experience in managing Branches for their needs & Compliance

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with reporting software like Tableau and a strong understanding of databases and SQL
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and articulate your ideas clearly
  • Analytical, diligent, and rigorous in your approach to problems
  • Curiosity about data and a passion for finding answers hidden in data sets
  • Bonus points for experience in consulting, operations, statistics, predictive analytics, or SaaS
  • 7+ years’ experience in a business intelligence role 
  • 3+ years’ experience a supervisory capacity, preferably within business intelligence or    data analysis 
  • Ability to understand and find appropriate applications for data and analysis results
