Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Manager collections is responsible for managing recoveries from defaulting accounts within the Supply Chain Finance (India) portfolio. The role ensures timely recoveries, effective management of overdue and provisioned accounts, and full compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines/requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    Drive rigorous follow-up on overdue accounts to maximize recoveries and minimize provisions through telephonic and in-person engagement.
•    Travel extensively, including to Tier 2/3/4 locations, to support collection and recovery efforts.
•    Coordinate closely with Portfolio Managers, Sales Managers, and Anchor partners.
•    Manage provisioned and defaulted accounts systematically to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
•    Ensure adherence to all default management policies, procedures, and timelines.
•    Maintain accuracy and integrity of data across all systems.
•    Lead and coordinate stakeholder forums such as Overdue Review and Early Alert Review meetings with high-quality precision.
•    Support the Sales Managers and Portfolio Managers in security through mortgage creation activities.

Processes
•    Liaise with Credit Operations to review risk grades and ensure correct account classification (standard, sub-standard, or provisioned) in internal as well as Regulatory Reporting systems.
•    Reconcile overdue reports across bank systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
•    Ensure successful completion of all audits, including RBI, statutory, and credit audits.
•    Ensure compliance with RBI directions and internal bank processes related to defaults.
•    Drive legal recovery processes for overdue and NPA accounts in coordination with legal counsel to maximize recoveries.

Risk Management
•    Satisfactory completion of all audits i.e. RBI, Statutory and Credit Audits.
•    Compliance with all default related RBI Directions & banks internal processes.

Governance
•    Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations including RBI reporting.
•    Support "No surprises" culture by highlighting key compliance and Operational risk issues impacting the Unit in an immediate manner for appropriate resolution.

Qualifications

•    Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications - Bachelors/Masters, a Law degree would be an added advantage
•    Work Expereince - 10+ years in banking or non-banking financial services, with extensive collections management experience from unsecured accounts, especially in MSME space, across various products.  Good knowledge of recovery related processes and laws mandatory.
•    Languages; Proficiency in English (must), Hindi and any 1 other local language
