Job Description: 

Job Summary

Role Purpose

•    Control FX and Payments Banking activities, perform required authorisations and checks, and ensure adherence to established standards and benchmarks.
•    Deliver timely, controlled and efficient FX, cash settlement, payment, reconciliation, client-reporting and regulatory-reporting services for Securities Services clients.
•    Maintain effective relationships with clients, Stock Exchanges and internal stakeholders while supporting continuous automation and implementation of market and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

Core operational delivery
•    Book FX deals for Securities Services clients in line with standing or specific instructions and process inward and outward telegraphic transfers.
•    Manage daily ALM and client reporting and daily, weekly and monthly reporting to RBI, SEBI, FIU and the Exchanges.
•    Ensure timely exchange pay-in and pay-out, RTGS/NEFT payments, funding availability checks and support for early-morning or night-shift client funding requirements.
•    Compute Capital Market Exposure and contingent liability and support CRILC reporting.
•    Complete daily cash reconciliation and sundry/suspense reconciliation, maintaining required controls and procedures.


Process improvement, controls and stakeholder outcomes
•    Drive automation across cash settlement and regulatory reporting to improve speed and reduce manual-entry risk.
•    Maintain processing capability above industry standards while ensuring compliance with Key Control Standards.
•    Implement new market and regulatory changes impacting operations and maintain effective contingency, cross-section and knowledge backups.
•    Maintain constructive relationships with clients, Stock Exchange officials and other Bank sections/divisions.
•    Operate as a non-people-leader role, while contributing to knowledge sharing, backup readiness and collaborative delivery.

Skills and Experience

Must-have Skills
•    Securities Services banking operations (Advanced)
•    FX booking, inward/outward remittances and client interaction (Core)
•    FEMA requirements for FII inward and outward remittances

Other Skills    
•    NSE/BSE and Clearing Corporation byelaws, rules and regulations
•    Cash settlement, payment processing and funding controls
•    Regulatory, ALM and client reporting
•    Cash and sundry/suspense reconciliation

Qualifications

•    Key Experiences: At least 5 years of Securities Services banking operations experience; direct client interaction for inward and outward remittances; working knowledge of securities operations.
•    Certifications / Qualifications (only where mandatory): Graduate / Post Graduate Degree.
